Chapter 29 : Reunite

"Don't even shit me right now, Playboy?!" Mr Min exclaimed, quickly pulling Bora's father into a tight hug. The two old men swayed while patting each other's back. It was so surreal for them to ever see each other again.

They broke the hug, still in arms length, basking in the reunion the universe has brought to their doorstep out of the blue.

"It's been over thirty years I last saw you before you disappeared on me, what happened Hunter?" Mr Han asked his best friend, who has been from teen years to young adult years in college before things just weren't the same anymore. He was nowhere to be found. He searched all over, he did all in his capability to find his best friend and eventually found out that his family has moved away.

That was fine. But why move away and not let him know of his whereabouts? That was the question.

"My parents, they had issue with themselves and had issue with my rebellious ways so they took away every form I could use to contact you or anyone then and we didn't even have much technology then. It sucked so much. But when I finally moved out, moved away from their shenanigans, I began searching for you too. Although it was about three years later and I know a lot could have changed in that amount of time. But even God knows, I haven't stopped hoping that I will one day find you. This is so unbelievable. And it's true when they say there's good in bad." Mr Min chuckled at his last sentence, his eyes twinkling with joy, the joy of reuniting with his partner in crime, his brother from another mother.

"That's a lot. I'm just so happy you're here now. What brings you here by the way?" Bora's dad asked, his heart even filled with more joy. Tonight was about the stupid Alzheimer's disease but the universe has weaved in a surprise he wasn't expecting in any way into the night for him.

Bora looked at Yoongi and he only shrugged, a sign he didn't know. She looked at her mum's face and also saw she was clueless but at least the pieces were forming back together as the two men refused to do any introduction until they were done catching up.

'We'll wait then.' Bora said in her head and seamlessly moved herself to Yoongi's side. She wanted his warmth so she laced their fingers together and put their connected hands behind them so no one could see. She looked at him and their smiles matched.

He loved it.

Mrs Han couldn't help but silently swoon at her daughter and her Soulmate which she now suspects to be her husband best friend's son. Perfect. She squealed in her head. She returned her gaze to the the men who were still catching up, she needed answers about the nickname though.

Why Hunter and Playboy?

She could guess but what's the fun in not making her husband having to explain his old ways while she pretended she didn't like it. Fun was needed. The universe knew they needed a break from that intense moment when the doctor just told them about a disease that could affect the remaining years of their lives.

"Had a little accident, it almost dislocated my shoulder but it's been fixed. Just have to take some meds, that's all. What about you?" Mr Min or Hunter replied, his eyes now seeing the beautiful woman behind Playboy. Is that is wife, Soulmate?

"Oh just some old age shit. Alzheimer disease," Mr Han informed his friend and seeing as he widened his eyes, he quickly continued "But it's at its early stage so the doctor said meds and exercise can slow the progression. No worries. I'm not going down like that." He tried to assure his friend who was now nodding.
