34 - You're Amazing

Jennifer's POV

„What is it with you today?", Paris, my choreographer, asked me while rehearsing.
I was full of energy and all smiles.

I laughed. „I don't know what you're talking about.", I shrugged my shoulders and grinned.
„From the top, everybody!", I yelled.
„You see that too, don't you?", I heard Paris saying to Tabitha.
„Mhmh, I do.", Tabitha said and raised her eyebrows funnily.

While we were doing Get Right, I suddenly saw Leah sitting with Tabitha. I must've missed her coming in.
We finished the set an had a little break. Leah got up and I walked towards her.
„Hi baby!", I said and hugged her. „What a nice surprise."
„Hey babe.", she smiled at me.

„What are you doing here?", I asked her.
She leaned in and whispered into my ear: „Just watching my babe do her thing."
I giggled. „Okay then, feel free to stay and watch."

„Oh wait, let me teach you something.", I said to her.
„Noo, you know I'm not good at this!", she whined.
„Oh come on!"
„Yeah come on!", Tabitha helped me out.
Leah rolled her eyes.
„Fine! Just notice I'm making a fool of myself just for you!"
I laughed.
„Okay, come on!"

I showed her a simple step where she had to bend a little and tap her feet back to make er ass wiggle. She had to stand behind me and hold my hips and I'd do the same.
„Watch me.", I said and showed her.
„Okay, I can do this.", she replied, sounding motivated.

We tried together but she wasn't getting it right.
„Watch my face.", I said as we tried again.

Paris laughed. „You said ‚Watch my face.' but isn't she supposed to look somewhere else?"

A few others around laughed as well.

„I did it, see!", Leah shouted.
She really did great.
„Yeees, baby!", I applauded her.

„Another one.", I said and jumped in excitement.
„I think that's enough for me."
I pouted. „Pleaase."
„Okay okay."

I showed her a latin dance part, and we both had one dancer to help out.
But it was too fast and pretty hard for her to learn.
„I told you I'm not good at this.", she said while we were both drinking some water.
„Yeah.. you're right.", I said and shrugged my shoulders to mock her.
„YOU!", she shouted at me and squirted some water at me.
„Ah!", I yelled in a high voice and ran away, while she ran after me.
„Stohop!", I laughed while running.

I ran slower so she could catch up.
At first I thought she'd be pouring water all over me but she just ran into me hard and wrapped her arms around me from behind, while she tickled my sides.

„Leah!", I yelled, squirmed in her arms and laughed.
She whispered: „Just wait until we're alone.", and let go of me.

From the side I saw Paris and Tabitha exchanging looks.

I smiled at Leah and we walked back to them.

„Bye guys, I need to be somewhere else.", Leah waved at everybody.
„I'll walk you to your car.", I said. I couldn't let her go without stealing a kiss.

„Did you finally speak to Ben? You look a lot better.", she noticed.
„I did. He's moving back in tonight."
„What? And why didn't you tell me??"
„Because my schedule's so tight today and I didn't had the time to. Sorry. It was just yesterday."
„Oh okay."
We got to her car and she turned around.
„I'm happy for you. Really.", she said and touched my arm.
„Thank you baby.", I replied.

She got in the car and I leaned in.
„Kiss me.", I smiled at her.
„Here?", she asked surprised.
„No one will see."
She smirked at me and grabbed my head to pull me closer.
I grabbed her hand and quickly hit it away.
„No touching!", I hissed at her. „That's what can be seen from outside, stupid."
„Ey, change your tone.", she hissed back.
„Make me.", I smiled and bit my lip.

Leah kissed me softly, then bit my lip hard.
„Ouch!", I flinched back.
„See, that's what you get.", Leah said in a bratty tone.
I was staggered and opened my mouth while frowning at her.
„Now get your pretty face out of my car so I can leave.", she said.
„Leah, you....", I said but she pecked my lips quickly.
„Out.", she repeated.

I did as she told and stood there puzzled while she drove off. What a behavior. I smiled and shook my head, because somehow, I like it when she's like that.

I went back in and we continued rehearsals. My gig was in 3 days and we were rehearsing to perfection, because only that is good enough, in my opinion. And I pushed everybody to give their best and nothing less.

When I got back home it was almost 8 but seeing light inside made me smile instantly, because it meant that Ben was home.

„Hi papi!", I yelled as I got inside.
„Hey baby.", he walked to me and I jumped into his arms.
„It feels so good to be coming home to you.", I said and squeezed him tight.

„I prepared dinner.", Ben said.
He let me down and I raised a brow.
„You.. prepared dinner?", I questioned.
Ben laughed.
„I told your chef what to prepare, no worries."
I laughed too.
„Okay, let me take a quick shower first. I really need to."
„Okay baby.", he said and pecked my lips.

I ran upstairs and took a really quick shower, I just couldn't wait to sit down and have dinner with him. I threw on something comfy and got back downstairs.

„Wow, that must've been your quickest shower ever!", Ben said, surprised to already see me downstairs.
„I couldn't wait to eat with you.", I smiled.

We sat down and started to eat.
„So, how was your day?", he asked.
„Good. I was as energetic as I used to be. It felt amazing. Maybe the dancers hate me little now but..", I shrugged my shoulders and laughed.
„You pushed them.", he said. „I've never seen anyone work this hard. Ever. You're out of this world."

„Aw, baby.", I smiled at him.
„It's true."

I thought about telling him that Leah visited. Eventually, he would know through the press anyway, so I decided to be upfront about it.

„Leah visited.", I said in an unsure tone.
He looked at me.
„Okay.. so?"
„I just thought I tell you before you see it in the media and then ask yourself why I wasn't the one to tell you or anything.."

„Thank you for telling me."
„Mhmh."

There was silence between us and it felt awkward.

„I shouldn't have brought it up.", I said.
„No it's okay. I'm not sure if I wanna know or not. If I should treat this like any other friendship you have or... I don't know. But.. time will tell, let's just see, okay?"

„Okay..", I smiled at him in disbelief of how amazing he actually is.
„You're amazing.", I continued. „You really are."

He smiled back. „I try my best."
