"Kid, you know what time it is, right?" Lucifer leans himself on the door frame while pinching his nose bridge, It was really late at night and you came to show up in front of his house which is why he was a little confused. "I know it's late. It's just... I need a place to stay over and I passed by your house" You answered him looking a bit messy, Previously you were planning to stay at your boyfriend's apartment but something happened, which resulted in you leaving his place.

"Look.. you know what, come in, it's freezing outside" Lucifer finally lets you in and closes the door, he tells you to sit on the couch while he warms up milk for you. "You know where you're supposed to be right now, right?" He asked you with that judgy look on his face.

"Home?"

"That's right, then why were you outside at midnight?" Once again he asked

"Something happened a while ago, and I don't feel like going home.." Your face looked puffy and tired as if you had just finished crying your eyes out, which made Lucifer concerned.

"Well does your mom know you're staying over?" Lucifer questioned.

"I told her I was staying over at my boyfriend's apartment, but I haven't told her I'm at your house, my phone died"

Hearing that statement Lucifer lifts himself from the couch and goes to dial your mom's phone, You can listen to the conversation going like this; "Hello, yes, It's me, I just want to inform you that your offspring here just showed up at my house and wanted to stay over. Hmm? Something's happened at the boyfriend's place, yes yes, you're out of town? When will you be back? Two days? I understand, Of course, your kid is in good hands, Alright, yeah no problem, See you." Lucifer hung up and sighed at the thought 'more work to handle.'

(Context: Lucifer and your mom are good friends, your mom trusts him because he's been there ever since you were really little and you get along really well with Luci)

"Alright kid, go take a shower while I prepare your room" He passed a clean towel for you to use, and just like that he went upstairs. You're trying to resist falling asleep on the couch and gathering up some energy to go to the bathroom.

After finishing putting on some lotion on your skin you head upstairs to Lucifer who's waiting for you in the guest room, "You go to sleep like that?" He shoots that question at you while judging you up and down, "What about it..?" You looked down to see your sleepwear again which just consisted of really short shorts and a crop top, so what's the big deal? "At your boyfriend's place?" 

You roll your eyes sarcastically and cross your arms "It's not like I'm trying to seduce him or anything. It's just comfy to wear, and you're too dirty-minded for your own good" You looked away and sat next to him.

Lucifer also rolls his eyes and makes space for you to sit down next to him"So, what happened with you and him?" He questioned.

"We broke up.. I saw his text with his ex, it turned out they got back together behind my back... When I confronted him about it he finally admitted." Your eyes teared up a bit remembering seeing the conversation they had.

Tears began to form in your eyes again when you also remember the things he said about you."He gaslighted me, saying he tried hard to be a good boyfriend to me, he said I was too busy with myself, he thought I was doing something behind his back, saying I was paranoid and too possessive because he was just trying to keep acquainted with his ex. At last, he said he dated me because I reminded him of his ex"
