I woke up not already liking today, today is the day my best friend died. I sat up realizing I was still at ddot house, I gently moved his arm so I could get up and get ready to go visit Deyawn's grave sight.
I walked into the bathroom an turn on the shower water and I closed the bathroom door and looked in the mirror. I could see the tears forming in my eyes, I got undressed and got in the shower.
I was just standing there for while then the memory I've been trying so hard to get out of my mind started to flood back.
Flash back
Me, ddot and deyawn was at the park at night a few blocks away from where edot was doing his music video. We separated ourselves from them so we could spend time together like we used to, me and deyawn been best friends since we were born. Then we met ddot in 2nd grade and we've been unseparatable since then.
We was talking and running around like we back in elementary school not having a care in the world, we stopped and sat on the swings. We was talking about certain classes we had.
We heard a loud car coming down the street, ddot told me to go behind the playground. I did as he said and saw him and deyawn have their hand at there waist band, we seen the car coming full speed. I saw the window roll down and a gun come out, I warned them and they pulled their guns out. Shoots rang and I called dd and he answered on the first ring, "Y/n/n what's going on?" Dd asked worried. "A car drove by shooting at us and they should be coming yll way" I said seeing the car drive down to where the video shoot was being held. I looked and seen deyawn on the ground, I ran over to him. Ddot was applying pressure to deyawn stomach, "Shit dd they got deyawn" I said crying. Then I heard shots being fired over the phone then a car crash, "Dd?" I said.
"Hello dd what happened?" I asked, "Dd hello" i said. "Dd bro answer me" I said, "I got em" I heard dd said while breathing heavily. "Who was it?" I asked, I heard dd chuckle. "Dd who was it" I said, "It was that nigga Taylor" he said. Taylor was a boy who kept bothering me throughout the school year, he even liked me but I was dating ddot. It was this one day he had asked me out infront of ddot and deyawn. I said no and he had said if he can't have me then ddot can't either, then walked away.
I should've know he was gonna do something bad, I seen ddot lay his forhead on deyawn chest. I heard light sniffles coming from ddot, I looked at deyawn face to see that his eyes was closed and he wasn't breathing. I started crying even more then I was before, "They took to fucking long" ddot semi yelled.
I was about to ask him what was he talking about until I seen the ambulance pulled up, they rushed over and me and ddot back up. Ddot came over to me, and hugged me as I broke down into a sob.
I heard yelling which made me look up, I seen dd and edot running towards us. Edot got one good look at me and his facial expression changed, I just knew when edot seen me, his whole world crashed. Edot always saying I'm like the little sister he never had, I got out of ddot arms and ran towards edot. When we got to each other edot pulled me into a hug, he was whispering things like 'its ok', 'I'm here now'. 'He's gone to a better place', those kinda things.
We heard more cars pulling up, we turned our attention to what was happening. Then we seen these people bring out a body baby, "No no no no" I said say I starting crying even more. As I was crying it was getting hard to breathe, I was crying and gasping for air.
"Shit" I heard ddot say as he came over to me, "What's happening?" Dd asked. Ddot took me into his arms and sat us down, "She is having a panic attack" ddot said. Ddot began whispering things in my ear while rubbing my back and arms, the panic attack was slowly going away but I was still crying. "Let's get out of here it's not good for her" I heard edot say, ddot stood up then picked me up. We walked to where edot video shoot was and seen everyone still there, jayklickin and dudeylo was the first ones to notice us.
They seen that ddot was carrying me. They jogged over and seen how I was, I was still crying. I just witnessed my childhood best friend get murdered by a boy who couldn't have me. "Jay can you drive us to her place" ddot asked, "yea" jay said and we walked to his car. We got in and we drove off.
Flash back end
I didn't realize I was sobbing, I heard the door open. "Ma you ok?" I heard ddot raspy voice ask, "Yea I'm fine" I said sniffling. I washed up and got out the shower, I lotion up and got dressed then brushed my teeth.
I walked out the bathroom, and sat on waiting for ddot to do his morning routine.
A couple of hours later
Ddot came out of the bathroom, I stood up and we walked out his room. We walked out of the house, and got into Jay's car. Dd and notti was waiting in the car, as we got in the car I just laid my head down on ddot lap.
A couple of minutes later
We got to the cemetery and parked the car, we all got out and jay locked the door. We walked to where deyawn's grave was, we got there and I walked up to the headstone and rubbed it lightly. I sat the flower that I had done infront of it and got up. I told everyone I was going back to the car, they said ok while ddot looked at me worried. I got back to the car and unlocked the car, I got in the car and started crying. I heard the car door open, I felt someone sit beside me and rap their arms around me.
"Ma it's ok" ddot said, I started mumbling 'I'm sorry' over and over. "Ma it ain't your fault, Taylor just mad he couldn't have you" ddot said. I was still crying until jay and his brothers got back.
Ddot pov
By the time jay and his brothers got back y/n wasn't crying no more. Jay started up the cat and we drove back to my house, while driving y/n fell asleep. "She ain't never gonna be the same" notti said, "She not especially when she keep blaming herself" I said while rubbing her head that was on my lap.
A couple of minutes later
We got to my house, I gently shook y/n to wake her up. She got up and we got out the car, I unlock the door and we went inside. I locked the door and then they pulled off.
I got a notification saying y/n tagged me in a post.

I put my phone in my back pocket and went upstairs to my room. I walked in and seen y/n sleep, I took of my shoes and changed into sum shorts and t-shirt. And then I laid down with y/n and fall asleep.
