CJ's POV:

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!"

As soon as I stepped foot inside the mansion I was greeted by kuya DZ' booming voice. I flinched a bit and winced when I heard a slight ring in my ear. He was behind the couch and taking long steps towards me.

"I THOUGHT I WAS CLEAR WHEN I SAID YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GO OUTSIDE UNLESS YOU"RE GOING TO SCHOOL?!" He shouted. He stopped a few meters away, anger written all over his face. "WHERE DID YOU GO AT THIS TIME?!" I only sighed and refused to answer his questions. I can't tell him anything, yet.

"I took her out." I immediately looked at Ice, who's staring at kuya DZ. Napak seryoso niya, talagang pinatototohanan ang sinabi niya. "Don't get mad at her. It was my idea."

"What the hell, Ice?" I whispered.

"Anong nakain niyo't ganitong oras kayo nag set ng meet up? Alam niyong delikado."

That was supposed to be early if you didn't ground me." I said, backing up Ice.

"It wasn't my fault you got grounded." Kuya DZ snapped. I only rolled my eyes, which made him glare at me. "Don't roll those eyes at me."

"Well, if only you were so good at hiding your secrets, I wouldn't even know you have one." I whispered, which I think was a little loud for a whisper. I saw how kuya DZ' facial expression changed.

"You can go." He said, looking at Ice. I only gave him a little nod, assuring that I'll be okay.

"What secrets, Cy?" I groaned in frustration and closed my eyes. I tried to calm myself and prevent myself from snapping.

"I don't know. You tell me." I whispered, trying to hide the anger in my voice. I swallowed the lump that was forming in my throat and inhaled deeply. "I never, for once, hear you talk about my mother, unless I ask. Why?"

"This is not the time to—"

"See?! This is exactly what I'm talking about! And yet nagtataka kayo kung bakit may trust issues ako sainyo?!" I couldn't help but shout. I scoffed and shook my head. "Nung nakaraan pa kayo eh. Ganyan naman kayo. Ang unfair niyo 'rin eh. Kapag may gusto kayong malaman sakin, sinasabi ko. Kapag ako, sinisikreto niyo. Anong klaseng pamilya 'to?"

"CJ!" Ate HZ shouted but I ignored her.

"The next time you wanna hide something from me, do it better. Make sure I won't know you're hiding something, or worse, find out what it is." I said and continued walking up. I got into my room and slammed my door shut.
