How To Help

Satsuki pov: Sion seems a little down, and I can't do anything about it. The fact that I am useless and can't help frustrates me to no end. I hate seeing how upset Sion is. If I can't help her, why can't I help her?

"Sacchin, are you coming inside?" Riesbyfe asked

"Oh-yeah..." I said

"You know we wouldn't want you out in the sun." Sion laughed; her laughter was hiding her sadness and anger. I could tell.

"Sion, if you were to turn into Osiris theoretically, we would stop you," I said.

Sion glared at me. "I'm going to sleep," she said. She went to bed, and Riesbyfe sat there in silence with me.

"Ries, how can we prevent Sion from becoming Osiris?" I asked

"Well, we don't even know how she will become it if she succumbs to her vampirism, I guess, but she seems to have kept herself sane before she got a hold of my blood. How did she satiate herself?" Ries asked

I looked at my arm and sighed, remembering the trick she showed me. "She drank her own blood," I told her.

"Eh? I didn't know vampires could do that; that's interesting, to be completely honest."Riesbyfe said

"Yeah, I feel awful for Sion; she doesn't deserve to suffer!" I said it loudly.

"Neither do you!" Riesbyfe shouted

I nodded, but Sion is more important to me since I don't have people to really love me and show me that they care about me.

"Sion is someone I want to see happy, and if she isn't happy, I don't know what to do, and if she isn't happy, then I can't be happy. She is my lifeline after all," I said.

Riesbyfe nodded. "It seems serious," she said to me as she lied down next to her girlfriend.

"You seemed worried as well," I said.

"Because I am, but also there is something I have to tell her: my body, for some reason, feels off. I don't know what happened, but recently it has been as if my whole entire body has begun to shut down." Ries said

"Are you sick?" I asked.

"Well, maybe I am getting chills and stuff, so it's possible I just have a really bad cold or something or a side effect from getting my blood drunk," she said.

"Are you anemic?" I asked

Riesbyfe sat up. "You know, that may be it," she said with a little chuckle.

There was a knock at our door, so I got up and walked over, opening it. Ryougi stood in the doorway, and Arihiko was with her. "We have to talk," she said.

"I'll be back in a moment!" I told Riesbyfe as I ran outside with my friends.

"What do you need?" I asked

Ryougi and Arihiko stopped and looked at me. "Are you happy?" Arihiko asked

"Why wouldn't I be?" I asked him.

Ryougi cleared her throat and grabbed me. "Sacchin, you aren't happy!" She said to me that I couldn't look her in the eyes.

"Tell us what's wrong!" Arihiko yelled

"Tsk-it doesn't concern you anymore, Arihiko. If you stepped out there and tried to help us at this point, you'd die, and I don't want you to get hurt!" I hissed

"Yeah, but I can help you. You know, even if people get stronger, I won't give up!" He said

"You can't," I growled.

"I can't what?" He asked

"You can't keep up," I said.

Arihiko took a deep breath and smirked before punching me. I grabbed my face in pain. "Did that hurt?" He yelled

My mouth opened, surprised by what happened. "Well, it did," I said.

"Then I can keep up. If I can hurt someone who is hundreds, if not thousands, of times stronger than me, then I can keep up and fight with the rest of you. I am not just a human; I am a human who has a vampire as a friend!" He yelled

I felt the need to cry, but I stopped. "You're a moron..." I sniffled

Ryougi kissed me roughly and then yanked me into a hug, shocking me and stunning me. "We are here for you," she said.

"Thanks, but I think you shouldn't get involved." I said

They didn't listen, though they kept insisting that they should help and that I needed it to be happy.

"Can I think about things, and I'll come tell you if I want your help or not?" I said

"Sure, call me," Ryougi said as she turned around and ran away.

Arihiko looked at me and sighed once again. "Stop being stubborn," he said before leaving as well. I stepped back inside and punched the wall.

"Don't damage the wall!" Riesbyfe shouted

"Sorry.... I'm just upset because everyone seems to want to help me, and I don't understand why they want to get involved with me and my issues. This is dangerous, and I get Ryougi, but Arihiko, he will get killed, and I don't-Uraghhh!" I screamed

I'm annoyed I don't get everything, and everyone is just trying to help me, but still...

"Sacchin, what's wrong?" Sion asked

"Oh Sion It's just that everyone wants to get involved with us and our fight, and I think that we shouldn't let them."I said

"Sacchin, but this is about to be an all-out war. Maybe we shouldn't try to involve them, but in a way, if we don't involve them, maybe they will get forced into this. We don't know if we can handle this battle or not." Sion said

When the girl who can see into the future doesn't know the future, that is bad. We are completely lost in the moment, not knowing what will come next.

"What is the point of getting them involved if they will anyway?" I asked

"You may hate the way they'll get involved, but you need to remember they want to fight for you." Sion said

Just like how Ries and I want to fight for Sion, they want to fight for me. That is how they can help.

"Got it," I said.

I think I got it now. I know how I can help Sion; it's by being her friend and not leaving her side.
