Ciel pov: I need to grab the seventh holy scripture; that is the only way I can do considerable damage to this woman, but it's too far away, and if I rush for it, I'll leave myself open to attack.
Maiko began to laugh at me as she witnessed me struggling to find an opening. "Ciel, didn't you say you wanted to kill me?" She asked, and in response, I bit my lip to focus on the battle and not my anger.
I could use "Seventh Heaven" to try to grab the seventh holy scripture, but I'm not sure if the arc from that technique will even allow me to grab it. I may overshoot entirely, and that wouldn't be good.
Maiko ran at me in the form of a rhino. I used "Ciel Somersault" by flipping over her.
"Black Key: Long Verse!" I threw flaming black keys, and they connected, but the damage was recovered quickly. I have to do better than that, but I can't without the seventh holy scripture, so I ran for it.
"Elesia, watch out!" Noel hissed
Maiko had launched a dragon-like creature at me, and so I gulped "Measure: Escape." I used that technique and backdashed quickly, escaping from the encompassing dragon mouth.
I rushed at my weapon, only for it to be knocked away, so I instead rushed toward Maiko.
"Too straightforward!" Noel shouts
"I know... I'm going to use a strong attack to try to buy some time!" I shout
"Wait to go tell me more of your plan!" Maiko laughed
She went to hit me but was shocked by an afterimage. I managed to back throw her, and I jumped into the air, yanking black keys out, "Cremation Rite!" I yelled, continually throwing flaming black keys in quick succession. Maiko was engulfed by the flames, and I kept on going, not stopping for a moment.
"Enough!" Maiko hissed without warning; she broke free from the flames and knocked me back. "Die," she growls.
"Elesia, stand back!" Noel yelled
"Armament 999..." Maiko snarls
"Holy Shit..." I pant
Maiko Nrvnqsr began to transform in front of us, and the power was off the charts. She immediately blitzed me and punched me in the stomach. I swear my ribs broke from that one punch.
"Elesia!" Noel screamed as I was sent flying. I was hacking up blood from that punch. I think my ribs are piercing things, but since I can't die, this is just torture.
I managed to stand up through the pain and saw Noel hit Maiko Nrvnqsr with a devastating overhead slam with her polearm; however, it didn't do anything to her, and Noel was hit away.
"You were confident, huh!?" She laughs
"You are a monster for sure." I sigh
"No, I am a demon!" She laughs again.
I ran to the seventh holy scripture, getting a hold of the weapon, and Nanako woke up again.
"Ciel, you need to rest up," she said.
"No time I can't afford to be weakened; if I am, she'll absorb me into her biomass, and I can't let myself be absorbed." I say
"But your mobility is weakened!" Nanako said
"Yes, but I have power!" I said
Maiko Yamase began to run at me again, so I bit my tongue to focus on "Seventh Holy Scripture: Impeachment of Original Sin." I used that technique by rushing forward and clashing with Maiko Yamase, knocking her back.
"That power..." she snarls.
"Nanako, what happened?" I ask
"It seems like you actually have tapped into Roa's power that was inside you again-latent power that you drew out because you felt a near-death experience." Nanako explained
"That's impossible Roa was expelled from my body; no trace of him should remain!" I say
"If that was so, you wouldn't have immortality still!" Nanako replied
"Tsk, even now a vampire is helping me fight," I growl.
"This battle is to help a vampire, right?" Nanako asked
That is true. This fight is to help Arcueid, Yumizuka-chan, and Sion. That is true, but I don't have to like it. After all, I don't like the vampires, but there is a bigger evil who happens to be a vampire as well.
"Nanako, let's get ready to fight." I say
All of a sudden, there was a mini-earthquake. I sensed in the distance that Arcueid had done something; she was being reckless.
"Wha-What!?" I question
I stabilized myself and looked around. I saw smoke in the air from the distance. "What did she do!?" I ask
"Focus on yourself!" Maiko Yamase shouts angrily at me. I scoff at her.
"Ditto..." I growl
"What even are you fighting for, bastard?" Maiko Yamase asked.
Flashback....
"So what are you two lovebirds talking about" Riesbyfe teased, glaring at us slyly.
"Oh, Elesia and I were talking about visiting France when we have time". Noel said. I gestured towards the garbage cans, reminding her that Arihiko was listening in she quickly corrected herself.
"Ciel and I were talking about going to France" she said, trying to regain composure.
"You two are something else" Riesbyfe laughed as the waiter returned with her stuff.
We continued to talk for a little while longer about things when, suddenly, Noel kissed her finger. She reached across the table and pressed her finger onto my lips.
"Ciel je t'aime" she whispered before taking another sip of coffee.
End of flashback...
"To go to France..." I say
"Eh France?" Maiko Yamase asks, "Elesia, didn't you turn that place into a wasteland?" She laughed
That is true, but I will atone for what I did in the past. In order to go to France with Noel, I have to defeat this woman here and now.
"You are getting cocky..." Maiko sighs
"Love makes you stupid." I spit
She didn't seem to understand, and that is going to be her downfall. She has nothing to fight for; she doesn't know what she wants because she is just an illusion.
