"AHH!"
The Bostonian screamed like a little girl, flailing arms and shielding his face with them, thinking that he had been caught. However, only silence followed, leaving that young mercenary very confused. He then wondered why, whoever that mysterious individual was, didn't proceed to do anything after that jumpscare; but then, this was short-lived when a low chuckle was heard. Recognizing that voice, Scout lowered his arms, only to find the one person he didn't wish to see.
"Spy?! What the frickin' hell, old man!" He frowned. "Ya almost gave me a heart attack!"
"My apologies...zhat vasn't my intention." The Frenchman cleared his throat. "I came here to look for you."
"Is that so?..." Scout scratched the back of his head, raising an eyebrow. "But wait, what about the others? Aren't ya supposed to help 'em out?"
"Zhey can handle zhose imbeciles. Don't vorry." His older teammate assured him. "Besides, I can't let you run in here by yourself. Especially if you're being accompanied by zhis...filthy trash animal."
Spy gestured to Lieutenant Bites emitting angry chittering noises, as if offended by that name; but in a matter of seconds, Soldier's pet suddenly went quiet, perking up ears.
"Wait...what is it, Bites—"
Sounds of footsteps gradually grew louder, and both RED mercenaries along with their fluffy companion quickly hid behind a wall. Taking a small peek around the corner, Spy and Scout noticed a group of Cameron's henchmen rushing out in a different direction.
"This way, guys!" One of them exclaimed. "Ready your weapons!"
Yelling out their battle cries, those men immediately armed up, heading through the carpeted corridor to defend their hideout. Their voices slowly died down, and the support mercenary glanced around, making sure no other enemies were in sight; but before anything, he noticed a beeping security camera installed in that same hallway where those henchmen emerged.
"Vait here, Scout..." He quietly instructed his younger teammate. "Have to get rid of zhat piece of junk over zhere..."
The Bostonian stayed behind with Lieutenant Bites while Spy cloaked himself invisible. As footsteps muffled by the mansion's velvety floors moved away, Scout patiently waited, hoping that nothing would go wrong. Minutes passed, and beeping sounds eventually ceased. That was when he and Soldier's raccoon took a glimpse, only to become relieved that Spy successfully deactivated the camera device.
"All clear! Let's go!"
Following orders, both Scout and Lieutenant Bites hurried over to join him, then proceeded down that hallway together. Reaching a dead end, the three finally arrived in front of what appeared to be a gargoyle-like statue.
"Oh great! Where is it?" The younger RED member was befuddled. "There's gotta be some special door 'round here!"
"A special door?..." Spy raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah! I overheard that moron mentionin' that it can only be opened by some lever!"
"Hmm...let's check everyzhing here..."
The French mercenary walked over to that ornate structure, examining its features and checking every nook and cranny. From there, he noticed a pair of statue's arms that were seemingly designed to be movable.
"Scout, I zhink I found zhem." Rubbing his chin, Spy reached out a gloved hand to grab one from the left side. "I wonder if zhis is the right one."
