It had been an hour since I got up from bed. I was already downstairs at a dining table, enjoying a nice breakfast and a cup of my favorite berry tea. Taking a small sip of that sweet goodness, I felt something climbing onto my foot.

"Oh good morning, Maxie! Just woke up, girl?" I grinned as I gently petted my bird.

The gray and yellow cockatiel with orange cheeks happily chirped as I picked her up and gave her kisses. Maxie was a hand-tamed fellow I had since she was a baby. Aside from her, I also had two other cockatiels named Leon and Edwin, who also lived in the same cage as her. As soon as I finished my food, I cleaned the dishes before taking Maxie back to my other birds. I gave her another kiss on the cheek before she entered the cage. As I watched my birds playing with each other, I received a text from someone.

"Yo (Y/N)! Are you busy today?"

It was my best friend, Katherine, who lived a few blocks away from my house. A few weeks back, she broke the news to me that she'll be moving out of town with her family. I started texting back.

"I'm actually free today. What's up?"

A few seconds later, another message popped up.

"Listen, (Y/N). You remember when I said I have to move away? Well before I do, I have something for you to have. I no longer need it, so mind if I drop it off at your place?"

I wondered what she was going to give me, then I replied back.

"No problem, BFF! You can stop by anytime!"

A couple of hours later, I heard a bell ring before I opened the door to be greeted by Katherine. She was carrying a heavy box loaded with stuff that I gave her a helping hand.

"Thanks a lot, bestie!" She hugged me tightly. "It really sucks that we won't see each other for a while..."

"I know, Kat." I called her by her nickname that made her smile a lot. "I'm going to miss you too. Well anyway," I pointed at the large box, "what's inside?"

Before she could tell me its contents, she replied, "Let's go to your room first, then I'll show you."

I nodded in agreement and helped her carry the heavy load upstairs. As soon as we got into my bedroom, she gently opened the box and I took a look. Inside was her pc, including her monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

"Kat, you're seriously going to give me your pc?" I questioned with a surprised look.

"Yes, (Y/N). My family's currently giving away stuff they don't need. So I thought of giving this to you."

I pondered for a while. It was the same pc that Kat and I played games on when we were younger. "But Kat, your games are still in there. Don't you want them?"

"Well, I decided not to play them anymore. I wanted to focus on other things outside of gaming. Aside from that, consider this as a graduation gift. I wasn't able to give anything on the day of your grad party."

     "Hehe. I see."

I finally understood why Kat wanted to give it away. I gave her a hug first, then we started setting up the pc on my desk. Once everything was finished, she instructed me about the stuff stored in the pc before getting ready to leave.

"I'm going to miss you a lot, (Y/N)." Kat said as I led her to the door. "Are we ever going to see each other again?"

"Someday, Kat. Someday." We both hugged each other tightly and said our goodbyes before she left the porch.

I locked the door and looked back at the memories that Kat and I made. We were in 7th grade when we first met each other. She was a new student at that time when my teacher asked me to show her around. It was on that day when we realized that we had so much in common like playing video games and going to amusement parks. It had been like five minutes until I remembered the pc and started heading back to my room.

Sitting in front of it, I logged into the computer until I noticed a small note in the box that Kat carried. I picked it up and read it.

"(Y/N), log into your Steam account. There's this game I already downloaded for you. In case you're wondering, it's Team Fortress 2. We used to play that game when we were in middle school. Hope you enjoy it!"

I suddenly realized something. That dream...that dream I had this morning! The battlefield I was found at. The nine men who saved me and told me I was in Teufort. And the boy mentioning something about the BLUs. I finally remembered! I dreamt about being in my favorite video game!

Following the instructions, I saw that the game, Team Fortress 2, was already in the Steam library. I loaded the game with excitement, for it brought me so much memories. It had been hours when I already took part in multiple online matches. In a majority of them, I mained as the Soldier, the first class I played when the game was released years ago. Some as Sniper and Medic as well. I never played as the other classes before, but I decided to try them for another day. I turned off my pc and went to bed, drifting off to sleep.
