Here it is. Hope you all enjoy! I hadn't meant for this chapter to be so long, but it just all did. So enjoy, and tell me what you all think.

Chapter 30

Another two weeks passed uneventfully. I would cry myself to sleep every night, but during the day I would pretend. Jace had tried to approach me in an empty hall at school. I just turned right around, walked away, and ignored him. I had refused to speak to him, in any way or form, for the time being.

John explained to me that his Alpha said that they couldn't touch me now. I am no longer a threat, because I don't have my family helping me. Besides I was just a harmless human. If only they knew about Jace and I. Trust me I would be dead as soon as he found out.

Cole started to take me out after school and on the weekends. We would go to the park, to eat, to the movies, or just to hang out at his place. Turns out he's pretty rich. All the money's from that leader of theirs. He would have to cancel on me at times, because he had to go do some work for their leader. His friends had finally stopped picking on me, and were warming up to me. If it weren't for Cole, then I surely would have gone crazy by now.

I didn't tell anyone about my brother. To be honest I don't really know why. Maybe because I liked keeping secrets. Maybe I just didn't know who to tell? Who knows?

Cole had decided to take me to the mall. Prom was coming up in just a few days. My room mates tried to get me to go with them a few times, but I refused saying I wasn't interested. Cole was convinced he had to get a dress for me though. No matter how many times I told him I wasn't planning on going.

"Ugh... This is all pointless," I whined, after we left our seventh store.

"You are the only girl that I know that would ever say something like that. Are you sure your a girl?" He asked rather seriously.

I punched him in the arm playfully.

"What? It's an honest question. You don't like to shop, you can beat up a dude, and you act like a boy."

"Last time I checked I was a girl," I growled as he led me into another store.

"Ok, fine look at it this way. It would piss Jace off if you go to the Prom. I'm sure he isn't expecting you to go, right?" He asked.

It was a good point. Now a days, all that I wanted to do was piss him off.

"Fine," I grumbled, because I had lost this battle.

Cole led me to a dress rack. He was doing all the looking for me. He would hold out a dress he deemed right for me. He held up and ugly pumpkin orange dress. I pretended to gag. He went through, and held up a sparkly pink one. I cocked an eyebrow. He put it back, getting my message. After more failed attempts, I just pushed him away. I started to comb through the racks, holding ones that I thought were nice out, and then shoving them into Cole's arms. I had a good seven dresses, so I took them all from Cole into the changing room.

Every single dress that I tried on and showed him, he said no to. Some were too short. Some were too revealing. The list of reasons why not went on and on.

I was down to my last dress. Looking in the mirror, I looked gorgeous. My pale skin, and nearly black hair seemed to fit perfectly with the dress. A memory suddenly tugged at my mind. I got a flash of woods before it left my grasp, and I couldn't recall it anymore. Suddenly every time that I would look down at the dress, I felt like I had seen it before.

I got over the feeling, and came out to show Cole. He was talking to another girl who was flirting with him. He seemed to be wooing her back. I cleared my throat, trying to get his attention. He did a side glance, and held up a finger at me. I rolled my eyes at him. He went back to talking to the girl. Suddenly he seemed to notice what I was wearing. He cut off mid-sentence, and turned to looked at me. The girl turned to look, and started glaring at me.
