IT'S THE SECOND DAY OF
competitions and to start us off is two Elite dancers up against each other. Right now, The Next Step is winning 4-3 with only five more rounds left.

"Come on Shantel." Daniel encourages as Lucien claps beside him, proudly.

"No matter what, we're getting another Elite dancer."

Shantel is actually a lot better than I thought she was. She's completely consumed with winning this battle and you can tell she will not go soft because it's against a friend.

Shantel and Mackenzie stand in the centre once they've both caught their breaths. "Okay, who do you guys think it should be?" Kate asks. Reluctantly, I point a finger at Shantel, as does everyone else.

"Looks like it's you, Shantel, congratulations." Kate announces, as the score has just become even.

After the two Elite girls, it's Jen versus Chloe and my heart is beating out of my chest. If Chloe doesn't make it, I won't have my best friend and my boyfriend on the team. I'll probably quit.

Jen is clearly a jazz dancer, which contrasts with Chloe's technicality in ballet. I look to the side, seeing Chloe shaking her arms, not even looking at the dark-haired girl dancing.

I stand up, going beside her. "You got this." I tell her as she gives me a look of uncertainty. "If I know anything, you're making this team." I add as we lock pinkies, kissing out thumbs.

"Go Chloe!" I shout along with my teammates as the auburn-haired girl goes forward. Chloe's routine is everything she is. She's been my partner in crime since we were kids in J-Troupe, and the growth in her dancing is phenomenal.

"I can tell she's grasping for this spot and in my eyes she has it."

Chloe ends her dance, walking right up to Lucien, staring him down. I clap loudly at the scene in front of me. I immediately point towards my friend as Kate announces Chloe as the winner.

"That's my girl."

Chloe comes back to sit beside me and West as we watch Nick. The Elite boy is going up against Thalia and it makes me nervous. Nick is known for being a good dancer but an impeccable lifter.

Thalia nervously gets up from her seat, rubbing her hands together before getting right into her solo. When Thalia joined The Next Step, she was Daniel's biggest competition, and now I see why she's incredible.

"Okay, what do you guys think?" Kate asks, as the two dancers await the results. We proudly give it to Thalia as Nick bows his head in defeat.

Thalia goes forward to pick the next name. "Choose wisely." Phoebe tells her as if the girl can see the names.
