LIKE EVERY YEAR, WE USUALLY dance to celebrate accomplishments or winnings, but in this case we're dancing because the competition is over, thankfully.
"It's still very odd dancing with the Elite dancers and not having the original group."
At the end of the dance, we break apart into groups. Elite vs The Next Step. We may look like a team on stage, but off it and alone, we're not even close to being friends.

James and I sit in the waiting room for the dentist as Riley paces around excitedly. Recently, I've been to every appointment with these sisters, only this time Rileys getting her braces off and wants company.
"Noelle, this magazine is from 1992 and look, still an amazing macaroni and cheese recipe." James says, pointing to a picture in the book.
"Well, are you gonna make it?" I ask, shooting him a look.
Riley comes over, plucking the magazines out of James' hands. "Are you seriously reading a magazine right now?" She asks. "Aren't you guys excited?"
"Excited? No. I'm frightened," James says, acting worried.
"Why?" Riley asks, confused. I just shrug my shoulders once she looks at me.
"I don't think you've thought this whole thing through." James explains.
I furrow my eyes at my boyfriend. "She's her own person. What might go wrong?" I ask, not getting his point.
"We might not even recognize her. You know what you should do: come up with a little name tag that says "hello my name is Riley" just so we know." James jokes, but Riley isn't having it.
She rolls the magazine up, smacking James' arm a couple of times. My boyfriend's hand comes to reach the back of his head, cradling it. "Noelle, control your boyfriend." She finishes, making me nod.
"Clearly Riley does not mess with her teeth or anyone talking about them."
"I wasn't finished reading the horoscope one." James points to the magazine that now lays in my lap, closed.
"James, the magazine is over twenty years old. It's not that accurate anymore." I say, giving him the book. I look up, seeing the orthodontist coming closer. "Riles, it's your turn." I tell her.
Riley turns to see the lady and gets out of her seat to follow her. "Wait, Riley, give us a smile." I say as she turns back, flashing us a smile with her braces.
An hour later and Riley was out of the room, not looking unrecognizable like James had thought. "Okay lemme see." I say excitedly, although my expression drops as she shows her teeth.
"Wow, okay," James says from beside me, squeezing my hand slightly.
"They're something, Riley." I say as she takes the fake ones out and James gasps, jumping back like she's a monster.
"Seriously?" she asks, still smiling.
"God," I push James back more as he laughs, coming up behind me. "They're great. You're like a new person." I smile at her.
"She's gonna smile forever." James mutters in my ear, making me hold in a laugh.
"No doubt." I say, shooting the girl a smile.

"We should get her something." I speak up, looking at James, who sits across from me at Hidalgos.
"What do you mean?" He asks, raising an eyebrow
"You saw how happy Riley is. Well, I think we should get her corn on the cob." I say. James looks the least bit impressed. He actually looks offended.
"Why would we do that?" He asks, taking a sip of his drink.
"All she talked about was having it when she got her braces off." I explain. "That's what we'll do. Come on, drummer boy." I say, walking towards the exit.
"You know I think you might actually like her more than me." he throws his hands up, coming up beside me.
"I love you too." I reply.

After getting Rileys' gift, we head to Studio A after Cierra and Skylar told us that's where she would be. "Hey James, Noelle." Eldon calls out as we pass him. "You what's up?" He asks once we acknowledge him.
I shrug my shoulders, trying to get to Riley before she leaves. "What's in the bag?" Eldon pesters.
I stop in my tracks, fully looking at the blonde. "It's for a special gift for Riley." I answer.
"Okay, what is it?" He asks again.
I try to walk away again because Eldon will try to understand it when he doesn't need to. "Come on Noelle, what is it?"
I take a deep breath. "It's corn on the cob."
"How is that special?" He asks, squinting his eyes at me.
"Uh, it's the most special when it comes from my girl," James says, spinning me around and leading me into the studio, leaving Eldon confused.
"Riles, I got you something." I say, coming up to her.
"What'd you get?" she asks, intrigued.
I pull the brown bag from behind my back. "A bag." She comments unamused.
"No, silly." I pull the corn out as she takes it from my grasp. "Corn on the cob." I present, giving her a side hug before James pulls me into him.
"You two are so weird." He says as we both look at each other. "But we all know corn needs butter." He puts his hand into the bag, pulling out a stick of butter.
"Ahh, butter kabob." She smiles, running her food along the butter before devouring.
"I've never seen someone love corn this much."

I have no idea what this was, or this episode. It was a huge filler and I didn't know where to put Noelle so I just did that also I never mentioned she had braces beforehand so I continued with it being Riley! Xoxo, balletblue
