Side Story 5 (Part 2)

"Ehhhh?!" Michiko was rather surprised. No wonder her heart was racing the entire time. But is she supposed to feel this way? From how it looks like, they must have been together for a long time.

*growls～*

Kakashi smiled while Michiko turned her head away in embarrassment. "Let's have some ramen, shall we?"

Michiko nodded with excitement.

After a satisfying meal, the two of them walked around the village a little, before heading to their usual spot. Michiko sat down hugging her knees, and Kakashi sat beside her.

"I remember walking out of the village and head towards the forest. Then the next thing I knew I was waking up by a tree. Argh, why can't I recall what happened?" Michiko said as she rubbed her temples. Her head began hurting.

"Looks like somebody has done something to stop you from remembering..." Kakashi analyzed. "We'll see what else we can do tomorrow." Kakashi wrapped his arms around Michiko. She flinched at first but soon ease into his embrace, wrapping her arms around his waist. Even though she can't remember who he was, Michiko felt nothing but secure with him and she know she could trust him.

- The Next Day -

Kakashi and Michiko were walking along the streets when someone attacked Michiko from the back. The next moment, the attacker was pinned to the ground.

"Ittetetete!"

"Naruto?" Michiko stared at Naruto with a puzzled look.

"Michiko nee-chan, you can let go of me now!" Naruto cried out.

"Oh, I'm sorry. What's going on?" Michiko asked as she helped Naruto up.

"Kakashi-sensei told me to do so." Naruto exclaimed.

Michiko turned to Kakashi.

"Well, I was thinking maybe someone attacked you out of nowhere might stimulate your brain, making you remember how you got attacked. I guess I got the wrong person to do the job." Kakashi smiled wryly before glaring at Naruto, who was smiling sheepishly.

"Naruto... At least mask your presence when you're following somebody. I can sense you from afar..." Michiko sweat dropped.

"Ahehehehe..."

- Timeskip -

Naruto tagged along as Michiko and Kakashi continued walking around the village to see if there was something to trigger her memory.

Sasuke and Sakura tried to make a sneak attack on Michiko but failed as well, as she detected their movements. At least they were not discovered like Naruto.

Sasuke went to train while Sakura stayed with them. Each of them were telling Michiko about what they know of the two. Michiko frowned when Naruto mentioned Kakashi and Hanare kissed, which he received a punch from Sakura and another glare from Kakashi.

Soon, the two Genin went elsewhere, leaving the two alone. It was in the late afternoon when Guy came to challenge Kakashi. After finding out what happened to Michiko, Guy recalled some of the things that happened. One of them being, Guy found out their relationship by witnessing them getting cozy with one another, and Michiko's face turned red.

"Argh, I can't remember a thing." Michiko groaned in frustration.

"I think it might be good to return to the place where it happened." Kakashi suggested.

"But we can't just leave the village...... Oh, let's go see Tou-san." Michiko said as she pulled Kakashi along.

- In the Hokage Office -

"Sandaime, please give us permission to leave the village for a few hours tomorrow." Michiko asked.

"For what purpose?"

Michiko and Kakashi began explaining about what happened and that they believed Michiko was attacked and made to forget about her being attacked. The Third Hokage allowed them to leave the village for a few hours the next day.

Michiko and Kakashi left the village and head to the forest the next morning. Michiko began to trace her steps.

"Here. I woke up right here. I remember this weird looking tree." Michiko touched the tree as she spoke.

Kakashi took a good look around. Suddenly, both of them got into another dimension.

Genjutsu.

Michiko and Kakashi knew someone was nearby doing this, which was why they chose not to do anything, waiting for the person to show himself.

The caster was watching them intently.

He made the two of them fight one another, but little did he know that Kakashi and Michiko were only acting.

"Guess the two of you are dumb enough to fall into my trap. Hahaha so much for Konoha's shinobi." The caster spit.

He continued watching the two of them fighting one another, and laughing at them. He lowered his guard for a moment and that was when Kakashi got behind him and pointed a kunai at his nape, while Michiko had one pointing at his throat.

"H-How did you...!" The caster was flabbergasted.

"Did you not know that genjutsu won't work on us?" Kakashi asked.

"Hmph." The caster snorted.

"Who are you? And why did you cast a genjutsu on us?" Michiko asked as her kunai dig deeper into his skin.

"Hatake Kakashi, do you not remember me?"

Kakashi tried recalling, but he seriously does not remember who he was.
