Farah's POV |
When I woke up, Trey was shaking me.
"Farah, you good?"
I jumped out of his touch, my breathing heavy.
"Why are you here Trey?" My words were a little too unwelcoming.
"Relax." He laughed. "I'm in the area for business." He shrugged, face serious.
Part of my inside cried, wishing he came for me.
"Oh.." I blinked down.
He chuckled, and I gazed back over at him.
"How have you been? If I may ask."
"I'm good. Great actually." I nodded, correcting myself.
"Mm." He squinted. "It was good seeing you." He stood, reaching his hand out to help me up.
I stood up on my own, causing a look of irritation to spread across his face.
"Well, enjoy Seattle." I said awkwardly, walking back to my shopping cart.
"Thanks." He waved, an awkward smile showing on his face.
I looked back, realizing that I was shaking.
I turned the corner, going into a different isle.
"Farah." I turned to see him once again.
"Yeah." My pitch was far too high.
"Are- can I take you for a bite to eat? To catch up?"
"Um, well I have to g-"
"I'm not taking no for an answer." He walked to me, suddenly in my face.
"Okay, okay." I rolled my eyes. He smiled.
"I guess there's no point in me buying his than." I told him.
"Would you like for me to put it away for you?" He offered.
"Or I could just leave it here...?" I shrugged lazily.
"That too." He reached his hand out for mine.
I smiled at him, walking past his gesture.
"Well I'm not getting any less hungry!" I ran off.
I laughed to watch him chase me out of the store.
