Song: Close to You by VFlower
You are going to read the fluff and you are going to enjoy the fluff.

You were alone in the apartment you had to rent. You hear a knock on your door and go to answer. "Ed, what're you doing here?" You ask. "Me and Al need a place to stay for the night." He answers. You hear rain pelt the windows. "Get in, you two." You sigh, letting the two brothers in. Ed sees the scared expression on your face as you look out the window. "God, it looks like a storm's starting up." You mutter. You had a huge fear of thunderstorms since one almost cost you your life. Ed didn't know about this, and Al didn't know either.

"Hey, you look at bit pale. Something up?" Ed asks, putting a hand on your shoulder. "No, I'm fine. I'm just worried about the storm going on through the whole day." You lie. I'm a big girl. I shouldn't be scared of something like a storm. "Okay. If you say so." Ed walks to the couch. "Don't you have anything to do here?" He asks. "There are books in the room next to the front door. I'm pretty sure there are some alchemy books back there for you guys." You look at the two with a fake smile. Al heads into the room while you head to bed.

You were trying to sleep in your home. A lightning bolt struck the house. The house caught on fire. You ran down into the street, your mother next to you. Your father left to get help. Your sister died in the fire.  You couldn't stop crying that night.

You couldn't sleep. It was 1:36 in the morning and you couldn't sleep. You were shaking in the sheets of the bed. A clap of thunder scared you and you screamed. You hide under the blankets in fear. You hear footsteps thumping against the floorboards and the door flys open.

"Y/N, what happened!?" Ed asks, before rushing over to you and lifting the blankets off you. "Y/N, what's wrong? You seem...scared." You look at Ed with fear. "Sorry you have to see me like this. I'm not exactly brave." You say, forcing a smile. Ed sees right through it. "Y/N, are you scared of thunderstorms?" He asks. You nod. He sits next to you on the bed. You hear thunder in the distance. You tense up upon hearing the dreaded sound, but relax after.

"Why are you scared of thunder, anyway?" He breaks the silence between the two of you. "One time, a thunderbolt struck our house and it caught fire. I got out with my parents, but, my sister got her dress stuck on a piece of wood sticking out of a doorframe. She died in the fire. I've been terrified of it since." You sigh. A clap of thunder sounds a bit closer than the last one, causing you to tense up a bit more. You inch closer to Ed. The thunder is even closer this time and causes you to jump when you hear it. Tears are already threatening to escape your eyes.

An extremely loud clap of thunder practically made you scream. You hold your knees up to your chest, looking outside anxiously. The next one was so loud you jumped and hugged the nearest thing, which just so happens to be Ed. Sure, his face turned 50 shades of red, but you didn't care. You just keep on hugging. You look at the blonde's surprised face. You giggle a bit when he turns away. You rest your head against his chest, feeling a bit braver now that you weren't alone. Which is a good thing because if he wasn't in here, you'd be scaring him every two seconds. "Ed, thanks for staying here." You close your eyes, Ed's presence calming. He strokes your hair, making you calm. "It's fine. Besides," He begins. You look at him and realize how close your face is from his, with your noses just barely touching. A blush sneaks its way onto your faces, though Ed's is much more visible.

He continues on with his statement. "I do have a tiny-I mean small-I mean-" He gets frustrated with himself. You giggle. "Let me guess, you have a slight crush on me?" You finish his sentence for him. "Y-Yeah." He rubs the back of his head. Oh god, I'm getting an overload of cuteness right now. "I think huge crush is more like it." His face goes from 50 shades to 100 shades in a split second. His face got so red, you don't think it's even possible for it get any redder. You give him a little peck on the cheek. "I feel the same way, Ed. I really do."

-Extra-
"Hey, isn't Winry afraid of thunder, too?" You ask. You both remember that she is. "Uh oh."

-Meanwhile at the Rockbell's house-
"EEEEK! WHY DO THUNDERSTORMS EXIST!?"

They say no one in Resembool slept that night.
