InuYasha x Reader: The Demon Inside

Inuyasha picked a fight with yet another demon. Kagome had her test thing to work on, so you were pretty much stuck with him. "How do ya like that, ya bastard?" You sighed as he cut down demons left and right with Tetsusaiga, the sword he inherented from his father. A demon managed to smack the sword far enough away from him that he wouldn't be able to reach it.

A gigantic demon appeared, unleashing every attack it could. Inuyasha was left with several large, deep cuts that would've killed a normal human in ten seconds flat. You felt his aura change, but ignored it. He then unleashed an attack that decimated the demon. Now you know something was up. He turned and looked at you from the corner of his eye. His eyes were pure red with black slivers for pupils. He had purple stripes on his face. You froze.

"Inu...Yasha?" He didn't respond. Then, he suddenly charged at you, his sharp nail digging into your flesh. Your screams echoed throughout the forest, almost bringing him to his senses. You fell, blood from your wound staining the ground. InuYasha came up to you slowly, but once he caught a whiff of blood, he returned to his senses.

You glared at him, tears streaming down your face. He tried to get close to embrace you, but you backed away. "Y/N, please. I didn't-" He tried to grab your hand, but you slapped his away. "Stay back!" He managed to grab your wrist and pulled you to him. His face was so close to yours that your noses almost touched. "Look, I don't know what the hell I did, but I'm sorry, okay?!" He yelled. Your tears became like rivers as you buried your face in his chest, hugging him tightly. "Y/N? Are you okay?" He asked. When you didn't answer, he wrapped his arms around you. You soon fell asleep in his arms. I have to make sure I never do whatever I did again. For Y/N's sake. He then grabbed his sword and took you back to the village.

-InuYasha's POV-

"There. She should be fine now. Ye need to be careful, InuYasha." Kaede spoke, finished addressing the wounds I had inflicted on Y/N. "Yeah yeah yeah, I know, old hag, I know." I looked at her sorrowfully. Whatever happened to her wasn't entirely my fault...right?

"Ye have feelings for Miss Y/N, do ye?" I jumped a bit. What is she, a psychic?! "N-No! It's none of your business, hag!" I retorted. "Ah, in denial, I see." She said, taking a sip from the cup of tea at her side. "Sh-Shut up!" I grew aggravated by the hag's constant remarks. I heard mumbling and turned to Y/N, who was trying to sit up. "Ah, she awakens. I'll leave ye be." Kaede (finally) left, leaving me and Y/N alone.

"Y/N! Don't move, you mi-" I tried to move her back down, but the moment my hand touched her shoulder, she flinched before trying to move away from me. Her hasty movements must have caused her wounds to reopen, because her face contorted in pain as she held her side.

"Y/N, did your wound reopen? See, if you had listened t-" She was against the wall, glaring at me. "Look, I don't wanna hurt you, I jus-" I tried to reason with her, but she just wouldn't listen. "You just what?! You wanna kill me?!" She yelled. "No, it's not li-" I tried to get a bit closer, but she moved herself closer to the wall. "Oh, then you wanna eat me?!"

"What th-NO! Why would I want to do that?!" That's when I noticed the tears that began to form in her eyes. "G-Go away! Please..." I was concerned. Did I really scare her that badly? "Okay then." She looked up, surprised. "Wh-What?"

"I'll leave you alone." I stood up and began to leave. "W-Wait!" I turned to look at Y/N. "What do you want?" I asked. "Could you...come over here?" She asked. I sighed, walking to her and sitting down next to her. "Okay, just what do y-" Y/N quickly planted a kiss on my cheek. "I'm sorry I wasn't listening to you. I was really scared and I was worried that you were gonna attack me again." I put my arms around her, her head resting on my shoulder.  She gasped in surprise. "InuYasha..." I pulled back and she looked up at me. I took advantage of this and kissed her. The kiss lasted for a while before we had to part for air.

"I won't let anything happen to you. I promise."
