I looked at Newt and he was looking at me.
It was the perfect moment. It was going to be our first kiss. Our very first kiss! But of course, every moment that is labeled as 'perfect' has its flaws. Right? Right.
Just as our lips were about to touch, Aris came bounding into the room calling for Newt.
"Newt! New- ohhhhh. Ohhhhh sorry."
I felt disappointed. Why did Aris need Newt at that exact moment?
Newt turned towards Aris and said that he'd be outside in a minute.
"Okay." Aris agreed. And just as Aris left the room, Newt kissed me. He held my face in my hands and gave me a really sweet kiss.
In the end, it still was the perfect moment.
