I'm on a rampage, because I just need Newt to live a long, happy and healthy life, OKAY?

Newt was kissing me all over my face and neck, and I shrieked in a fit of giggles, "Newt!"

He murmured into my neck, "Yes?"

"Newt!! You know I'm ticklish!" I squirmed, trying to break free. I managed to dash away, down the hall to the kitchen and he quickly caught up with me. He was a runner after all.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and carried me to our bedroom and I couldn't stop laughing.

In the house we just finished unpacking, we laid on the bed for what seemed like a long time and just laughed.

Eventually I cuddled into him, and all I could think about was that we had finally moved in together, just like we always wanted to.

"Y/n?" He asked, shifting so our faces were level.
"Newt?"
"Will you marry me?" He paused for a small moment then continued saying, "Just one day, I want to properly propose. When I do, will you marry me?"

After a while of our faces being very close and not saying a thing, he said, "You're making me awfully nervous, not responding and all."

I bit my lip, trying to hide a smile, "Yes. I'd love nothing more than to marry you."

He then kissed me much more seriously than how he was before and all I could think about was how much I loved him.

It was our five year anniversary. Five years of being Newt and Y/n.

"Y/n, I'm not very good with words when it comes to you because no words can describe how much I love you. That sounds corny because literally everyone says that and I don't want to sound stereotypical when it comes to how much I love you, because it really isn't a stereotypical amount."

I opened my mouth to tell him that I felt the same way, but he just said, "That isn't even the beginning, love... This is."

The restaurant we were eating at had a screen drop down and a slide show started.

It was filled with pictures we took together and it reminded me off all the amazing times I shared with him.

"When I first met you, I was depressed. You got me out of it Y/n. You showed me so many things. You showed me how to braid hair—which is a good trait to have when you're too lazy to do it yourself and you basically beg me to do it for you," I laughed at his comment, and he went on, "You showed me how everyone has their ups and downs. You showed me what it's like to be in a relationship for five years. I don't think I've ever laughed as hard with anyone as I have with you. You showed me a million things that I'll be eternally grateful for, but most of all, you showed me what it's like to really love someone."

In that moment I got caught up in my throat.

"I know I've asked you this before," he bent down on one knee and opened a small box, "but I've always wanted to ask you this and have it be official. Y/n Y/m/n Y/l/n, will you marry me?"

I cried as I said yes.

I kissed him as he put he ring on my finger.

"Love! Wake up!" He gently shook me, and I opened my eyes groggily.
"What is it?" I asked, already knowing why he woke me up.

"Our baby's crying."

"Can't she be quiet for once in her life?" I buried my face in Newt's chest before getting up.

I brought our little girl into the bedroom, lightly bouncing her. I hummed a little song and she quieted.

Her eye shape resembled mine, but her eye color was exactly the same as Newt's.

"How is she doing?" Newt asked, half asleep.
"She's alright." I tiredly smiled as she reached her hand toward her father.

He took her from me and he murmured, "She looks exactly like you."
"No, she looks exactly like you."

We always had this conversation, and then decided a little while later that who she looked more like was dependent on her facial expression.

"Newt?" I questioned after he returned from putting our daughter back in bed.
"Yes, love?"
"I love you."
"I love you, too."

Idk what to say for an author's note, but thank you for 18k and I hope you have a lovely day!
