When Newt admits he likes you (different version)...
"Y/n," he said, "you're absolutely beautiful."
Newt would quickly find out that Y/n couldn't take a hint if it were to save her life.
"Thanks," she smiled radiantly and went to go talk to Thomas.
Thomas—who had witnessed the whole scene—gave Newt an are you serious? look and blatantly told her.
"Newt likes you."
"No!" She was in genuine disbelief, "That's not possible."
Thomas restrained himself from rolling his eyes. Instead he just blinked in confusion. How is she that oblivious?
"I can prove it to you," Newt had walked up to them and Thomas walked away, happy to help a friend get a girl that was clueless.
Once Thomas was gone Newt leaned towards her. In one swift movement Newt's lips brushed against her's. A soft, sweet kiss.
"I- I-"
"Please say that you believe me," Newt was half-joking, "I've been trying to get you to figure this out for months."
"I believe you," she blushed and pecked his lips once more.
