Papyrus x Sad! Reader ~Broken Innocence~

You weren't the happiest person in the world. Everyone was happy on the surface so you didn't want to destroy it for everyone by telling them that you were sad so you were quiet. You always wanted to make everyone happy and would boost them by just cheering them on and being there for them. That's what friends are for, right? You loved them so much and you loved Papyrus. He was nice and caring and he made you forget about how sad you were. He made a little spark of happiness inside your soul just by being his cheerful, innocent and happy self. Right now you were crying as usual in your room. Everyone was asleep and you cried quietly on your bed. You were living with Sans, Papyrus, Toriel and Frisk so you had to be quiet. You were hugging a pillow and you were crying onto it. The only thing that came from your mouth was small and shaky breaths. After a while the tears had finally stopped but the numbness was still there. It hurt around your chest and your body was numb. You heard someone knock onto the door but you didn't say anything or open the door because you pretended to sleep but then you heard a quiet voice say "I know you are awake" he said and you felt your body stiffen. "Papyrus..." you mumbled to yourself and you heard him sigh very softly "I have a good hearing so i can hear your shaky breaths and i can recognize that you are crying" you got surprised by this. You thought  he was kind of naive to these kind of things but i guess you were wrong. You stood up and opened the door while a worried Papyrus were looking at you. "Can i come in?" he asked and you nodded while you step to the side motioning for him to come in "Thank you" he said and sat onto the bed. You shortly followed him and sat down onto your bed to. It was quiet for a while until he asked you the question you threatened so much "Why were you crying?" he asked and you looked at the floor. Out of nowhere you thought that the floor looked really interesting. "Please, human, tell me i am really worried about you" he said and you stiffened a bit by the question and he continued "I see that you aren't really happy up here..." he said sadly and you looked at him with a sad look. "You don't really smile and laugh like we do" he continued and you felt a little bit of guilt going through your body for worrying him. "I want you to be happy, human" he said and you sighed "I have given up on that Papyrus" you said and he looked at you with a worried look mixed with sadness "What are you saying, Y/N?" he asked and you sighed a shaky sigh. He never called you your real name if he wasn't serious which was a rarity. "I mean... It was a really long time i was happy Papyrus..." you said and you felt your tears threaten to spill. "I'm sorry i am saying these kind of things to you, Papyrus" you said and a small tear fell from your eye "It's just it feels like my soul is about to give up on it self if i don't say it to anyone and i just c-can't..." you couldn't end your sentence because you started to cry hard. He looked sadly at you and took his arms around you softly "It's okay, Y/N" he said and you took your arms around him while you cried onto his chest. He started to take his fingers through your hair while he hummed softly and comforting. "I-I-I'm s-sorry" you said and started to cry even more "It's okay, it's okay" he said and started to wag you. "I promise things will get better because now that i know i can try to help you after all i am not the great Papyrus for nothing" you giggled a bit and you nodded "Y-Yeah... That's true..." you said and he smiled down at you "Everything will be fine because we all love you and care for you... We'll help you, i'll help you" you nodded and felt that you got calmer so you let go of him while you wiped away the tears. "Thank you Papyrus, i needed that" you said and smiled softly at him. He nodded and asked you something which made you feel happy "If you want i can sleep beside you, i have heard that it makes human more safe when they are sad" you nodded and you both laid down onto your soft bed. He automatically took his arm around you and you cuddled up against him. Shortly you both fell asleep with smiles across your faces
