Dream x Neko! Reader

You have lived with Dream as long as you could remember. He have saved you from a life with torture, experimentation and bullying. When you were little you had gotten cat ears and tail for some strange and unknown reason. People in underground and Dream himself suggested that maybe someone  had put a magic spell on you or have tampered with your soul. Well sometimes your soul would hurt and it felt like it would be ripped to pieces so that confirmed that someone has dome something with your soul but what is still unknown. Your soul would act up on the nights most of the time which you didn't know either. There was so many things you didn't know but wanted answers on. This night was one of those nights. Your tears wouldn't stop and you hiccuped softly while you took shaky breaths. It was so hard to breath which scared you to no end  until you heard someone walk in "Y/N?" someone asked worriedly and he walked up to you. Sans took you in a hug and you held onto his arm roughly while the other hand grabbed the backside of his shirt. "take it easy, okay? It's okay..." he reassured and he started to wag you from side to side. You still cried onto him though because it ached and it felt like your chest was burning up with your soul inside it. "The pain will go away soon..." he mumbled "P-Please... talk m-more..." you said but it was hard for you to talk but in some way the small skeleton still heard what you said "Okay, I'll talk" he said "listen to my voice" he said and you nodded "everything will be okay, it will go away soon enough i promise just listen to me and try to fall asleep safe and soundly" he said and you felt calmness go through you but not much. "Just try to fall asleep, i'll be here the whole night and i'll be here in the morning to, okay?" he said and you nodded softly while you leaned you head onto him and closed your eyes, listening to his request. He pulled you closer to him and soon enough he heard your soft purring when he took his fingers through your hair and he would occasionally scratch the backside of your cat ear softly which made you purr even louder which he softly laughed at. The pain started to fade away also and now it was replaced with numbness but you could handle that. It was better than the burning pain. You took deep shaky breaths  while you still held onto him but not so roughly. "See? I said it would go over" he said happily and you nodded while you still felt some tears in your eyes. "hey! I-It's okay now! Please don't cry" he said "I-I'm sorry it's just really scary..." you mumbled and he looked down at you with pity "You don't have to apologize..." he said and pulled you even closer to him "Do you want me stay with you?" he asked and you nodded softly but feeling a little bit childish when you wanted him to stay with you. You both laid down onto the bed and he took his arm around you while he pulled you closer to him. "Is is okay now?" he asked and you nodded softly, feeling much better than usual "Thank you" you mumbled and drifted off to sleep while he was still looking down at you, worried about you as usual. He sighed softly and buried his face onto your head while he closed his eye sockets, drifting of into the world of dreams
