"Hello, I have a meeting with Miss Wintour," Skye asked at reception when she arrived at the offices of Vogue magazine.

"Yes, of course Miss Parker. If you just take a seat I will let her know you have arrived," a glamorous older lady smiled up at her from behind her desk.

"Thank you."

To say Skye was nervous was a complete understatement. If her agent Michelle was correct then this meeting could land her a centre spread and the cover. The cover of Vogue. It was what Skye had dreamed of ever since she got into modelling.

"Miss Wintour will see you now."

----- TIME SKIP -----

After the meeting was over, Skye left the offices with a massive grin on her face and a spring in her step. She'd landed the cover and a 10 page spread in the January edition of the magazine.
The theme Anna Wintour and her team wanted was an American girl in London. The concept sounded amazing and Skye couldn't wait to shoot it.

"Hi," Skye squealed into her cell phone after hearing it ring and then seeing it was Ian.

"I'm guessing from your peppy voice that the meeting went well," Ian chuckled.

"It went amazing. I'm going to be on the cover and I got a spread."

"I'm so proud of you."

"I can't wait to see you tomorrow," Skye voiced as she hailed a car to take her back to her apartment.

"Me either. I'm all packed and ready. I have to shoot a couple of scenes later this afternoon and then I fly out bright and early."

"Babe, I don't envy that morning flight," Skye sighed into the cell.

"At least I know there's something amazing at the end of it," Ian grinned.

"Oh really, what's that?"

"Like you don't know Princess."

"Nobody has ever called me that before," the model exhaled, falling more and more with each passing moment.

"It can be my special thing then. Only I'm aloud to call you Princess. Deal?"

"Deal."

It took another 30 minutes for Skye to reach her apartment. In that time Ian had got dressed, walked to a local cafe and managed to stay on the phone to her. New York traffic was crazy.

"What are you up to now?" Skye asked as she sat on the sofa just wanting to hear his voice.

"I've just stopped in a cafe to get a bite to eat before I go to set. There's loads of pap's outside though. Don't think I'll be sticking around for long."

"That's not good. Is it usually that bad?"

"Not really. Don't get me wrong there is always a few but it seems more than normal."

"Do you think it's cause of the rumours about us? I'd hate to think I'm causing you trouble."

"Hey, hey I doubt it's that. Even if it was we'll handle it. You're worth it. Has it got worse for you?"

"Yeah a little bit. Like you said though, you're worth it," Skye laughed into the phone.

"God, I wish I was with you right now," Ian groaned.

"Not long now. Just think this time tomorrow you'll have landed. Keep remembering that."

"Oh, I will."
