This morning Vampire Diaries stars Ian and Skye Somerhalder announced the birth of their baby. Sharing the exciting news via their Instagram pages, it was confirmed that the little girl is healthy, strong and called........Brooke Elizabeth Somerhalder.

Born yesterday (June 1st) at Cedars Sinai it has been widely reported that the most anticipated birth on this years Hollywood calendar took place in one of the hospitals highly exclusive and private suites (see picture below).

Costing $3,000 per night and boasting 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lounge and a kitchen, it's safe to say that Skian spared no expense. Only the best for their little "munchkin".
Now we know that baby Brooke is here, all we are waiting for now is a pic of the little family together. Still in hospital for checks (Brooke was born 3 weeks early), it's not known when they will all be leaving to return home. When they eventually do, we can only hope that Ian and Skye will continue their love of social media and keep us updated with lots of pics and news on their new addition.
With the one year anniversary of Skye's devastating car crash coming up, it's been a 360 turn for our favourite on and off screen couple. Since then they've gotten married, gone from strength to strength in their careers and now welcomed this little one. We couldn't be happier. What a deserving pair.
