In past interviews Ian said that once TVD is over he will be solely focusing on raising Brooke and working more closely with his incredibly successful charity ISF (Ian Somerhalder Foundation).
Skye who was planning to do much the same thing has been rumoured for another TV role already, Ian more or less cementing those thoughts when he said, "Skye has been offered an amazing opportunity that I wouldn't let her pass up on. It's a dream for her and she deserves it. Brooke and I will follow her anywhere."
The show in question, up and coming Netflix original series "Stranger Things" looks like it could be a massive hit.
Not only is Skye's name linked but also the likes of Winona Ryder are said to be involved. That's more than likely the reason Ian described it as a dream come true for his beautiful wife.
"I've been obsessed with Winona since I first saw Little Women back in the 90's," Skye said during a chat on The Graham Norton Show. "I loved reading the book when I was younger and seeing Jo brought to life on screen so beautifully was one of the reasons I wanted to act. To work with Winona would be a dream."
