Hiiii shibalove! I get to answer your question this time! That's awesome, since I kinda shot down your last one... All shall be revealed at a later date, I swear! Anyway, onto your (and Chokuto's) question!

shibalove's Question:

Hi. One of my (many) OCs has a question for Dracule Katana. This may be awkward, because, uh, well... let's just get on with the questioning:

Dracule Chokuto: I have a question for Dracule Katana. I noticed that in the latest chapter of DFF, her relationship with her father was revealed. Very calculating, but I noticed a bit of warmth in the scene. I also noticed that in a response to one of the earlier questions, she revealed that her father trained her how to use the sword. My question is: Is your father's teaching methods in the DFF universe similar to the methods my father (the same man) used on me in the universe I am familiar with? For example, I will admit that I have been forced to practice against my will at hours in the least, and that I have been arranged by my father to participate in a program designed to craft an innocent soul into an emotionless killing monster in order to "make me stronger". I was wondering if you also was forced to withstand all of this senseless torture. Or perhaps the Dracule Mihawk in your world is more lenient in his ways?

Me: *sweatdrop* Yeah.... Can't you see why I said this was so awkward? They both have the same father... Does that make them siblings (or half-siblings) in a sense? -__-

Me: *stares in awe at the question*

Katana: Have we ever encountered such a detailed question before?

Me: *can't stop staring at the question*

Katana: *sighs* I suppose that would mean no, then, Author-san?

Me: *snaps out of it* Eh? When did you drop the -chan? Stop being so formal, you ungrateful little--

Katana: Yes, well, the question, Author-san?

Me: *pouts* Fine. At least Raya still calls me Author-chan!

Katana: *looks out at Dracule Chokuto* I pray your author isn't as needy, Chokuto-kun.

Me: Don't give a stranger such a nice honorific if you refuse to give it to me! You're older than me so the -chan is ok, isn't it?!

Katana: I suggest we move onto the question, hm? *ignores me while I rant and rave about useless things* ....How interesting. Another child of Dracule Mihawk. Though I see why you might want to ask this particular question. Our respective fathers don't at all seem to be the same man, in terms of his leniency. I assure you, I was never once forced. I willingly attented training sessions, practically begged Father to continue long past his prescribed time period. There was nothing I wanted more than to surpass my father, so I trained will all the fury and fervor of a dying man.

Me: Think Katekyo Hitman Reborn! if you've read the manga and/or seen the anime.

Katana: Quite. *frowns thoughtfully* You've led a much harsher life than I, Chokuto-kun. I don't pity you, because as a fellow Dracule I don't think you should want or have need of pity, but I sympathize with your plight, even though I can't quite empathize. But going along with the entirety of the question, I think you can see from the latest chapter just how different our fathers are. The warmth you mentioned is there, though I myself strain to feel it at times. My father would never force me to become such a cold-hearted, thoughtless, willess killing machine if he isn't one himself. In fact, he was attempting to push me to follow my own path, deviating from the one he may have set out for me, though he was prompted by "Uncle Shanks" to do so.

Me: He really asked you to call him that, huh?

Katana: *sighs* I will never figure that man out, and how he ever became a Yonko is completely beyond me.

Me: He has his ways~!

Katana: Yes, well.... *blatantly ignores me and turns back to shibalove and Chokuto* So, to give you a shortended version of the above answer.... No, his training methods are, in fact, not the same as your own father's. I have no doubt you are truly the son of Dracule Mihawk, but it seems our authors have taken a bit of creative liberty with his personality and twisted it to match their needs, storywise.

Me: Meh. I admit nothing.

Katana: *keeps ignoring me* Oh, and because I would honestly hate to end this, I'll delve into what shibalove-san was talking about. *smiles slightly* I've always longed for a brother, younger or otherwise, as my author has informed you're two years my junior. If it wouldn't inconvenience you in any way, I would be honored to consider you my sibling.

Me: "If it wouldn't inconvenience you...." Tch. Where were these niceties when you were forcing Raya to become your damn rival?

Katana: It's not as though I regret doing that. Raya, too, needs someone to push her, or she will never get better, and I'm afraid that Pirate Hunter of hers isn't quite up to the task of sharpening her skills. If anything, her affection for him dulls her already broken blade. And in any case, I feel Chokuto-kun would understand many of the things I've been forced to put up with over the years. It would be nice to have a sibling.... They are more than just a sparring partner, Author-san.

Me: I feel like my siblings are just sparring partners sometimes....

Katana: *smirks*

Me: *looks at word count* Whoa. We've taken up a lot of space with this one. But it was fun, letting Katana open up like that. Sure won't be happening again anytime soon. I probably won't see you again until later in the DFF storyline.... Much later.

Katana: I'll be off honing my swordplay, I'm sure, so I won't be bothered in the slightest. Perhaps Chokuto-kun could assist me?

Me: I'm cool with it if shibalove is. It's not like you have anything better to do. Then again, there is that whole "we're not from the same universe" thing to overcome.

Katana: You'll come up with something, Author-chan.

Me: And now I feel like you're trying to bribe me!

Katana: *gives a secretive closed-eye smile* Good luck to you in the future, Chokuto-kun, shibalove-san. I'm looking forward to seeing how your role as a Monitor plays out. Do try to fight the mold your father is trying to force you into. Dracules are much the same as our katanas: Sharp, lethal, and strong. Aim to surpass him if you must, like I try to. I'd be very disappointed if you were to fall prey to your own father.

Me: That whole "Hawk-Eye" image is rubbing off on you, isn't it? You as merciless as a damn bird-of-prey!

Katana: And who, exactly, is the one who made me like this?

Me:....Guilty.

Katana: *smiles scarily* An honesty author at last. Oh, but I do think you were right. I may have overstayed my welcome this time. Hm, it felt so odd, talking this entire time without bickering with Raya. We should do this more often, Author-san.

Me: Here we go again.

Katana: Since it appears you're too forlorn to do the goodbyes, I suppose I should do them myself. *bows respectfully to Chokuto and shibalove* Thank you for the question. I very much enjoyed taking the time to answer it. In fact, Author-san was so excited when she saw this, she rushed to answer it, even taking a break from her beloved manga to do so.

Me: Don't make me sound creepy about it! Ugh, I'm sorry. She's very blunt when she likes to be. Sarcastic too, but enough of that. Thanks again, and ask again anytime you'd like. Your other OCs are welcome as well! Now since I really need to end this, I'll just say buh-bye and that'll be that!
