Connor gave Jared a wild smirk as he approached Evan, sitting across from him at his table. He watched Jared try to hurry up in the lunch line, with no luck.

"Hey Evan." Connor gave Evan a soft smile, making his body look like his was flirting intently with Evan. "How's your day been?"

"Oh-! Well, today, I uh..." Evan rambled, but Connor was too busy watching Jared freak out. He chuckled quietly to himself as he watched Jared's face flush. By the looks of it, he was trying to pay for his food but the lunch lady just wanted to talk to him.

As soon as he saw Jared make a beeline towards them, he turned back to Evan. "-but I mean, it's okay because even though I know no one will be there, I've gotten used to-"

"Hey Ev." Jared loudly placed his lunch tray next to Evan, making sure to smirk at Connor.
"How's my favorite acorn?"

"How, uh, I'm fine?" Evan glanced between the two boys, watching them makes faces at each other. "How uh, how are you guys?"

"Huh? Oh, fine." Jared mumbled mouthing something to Connor. Connor mouthed something back, causing Jared to laugh loudly.

Oh my god. They like each other. Evans thoughts ran wild with the new information. They're trying to win each other over by winning me over. Oh my god.

Evan almost laughed out loud at how ridiculous it was. He covered his mouth quickly , but the two boys didn't notice.

How can I get them together? Evans mind raced, thinking through all the possible options he could. Suddenly his mind clicked, and he knew he had the perfect plan.

"Hey Jared, uh, I have... can we?" Evan asked, trying to seem flustered. He took a deep breath. "Can we go to the movies tonight? Uh, like, like a..."

"A date?" Jared asked, his smirk hiding his fears.

"Yeah! I uh, I just, really like you, and I just."

"You don't want to date that loser. I get it. Who'd want to date him?" Me. Jared thought.

"Perfect! Uh, can we met at uh, 6? The Jumanji movie is playing, and uh, I felt like you would like it."

"Sounds great, Hansen." Jared gave Evan a wink as he confidently walked away. His confidence deflated as soon as he knew no one could see him.

How the fuck was he gonna let Evan down easy?

Tree Boy: Hey Con! I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go to the movies today? Like, as a date. Possibly? If you don't want to, that's cool, I just... you know?

Connor chuckled to himself, ignoring the pit in his stomach.

You: Sure. What time and what movie?

Evan waited a few seconds to reply.

Tree Boy: 6? Jumanji?

You: Sounds perfect

Jared arrived first. He payed for his ticket and stepped inside, looking around for Evan. When he didn't see him, he sat down on the bench and texted him, getting no reply.

"Jared?" Jared looked up at the tall boy.

"Connor. What brings you here?"

"I'm on a date. With Evan." Connor tried to seem cocky about it, but Jared knew him too well. He didn't say anything, just took a note that his eyes didn't shine like they did when they were alone.

"Wait, really?" Jared asked. "Cuz uh, I am too..." He trailed off, already knowing that Evan had set them up together.

"Oh. Oh my god. He set us up." Jared laughed, grabbing Connors hand and pushing down his fears

"Come on, Con. I want to get the good seats. And you have to buy me popcorn."

"Oh, do I now?" Connor asked, a smirk in his words. "I didn't know that."

I'll have to thank Evan. Connor and Jared thought as the walked hand in hand to their seats.
