"Where are you going?"

Evans words broke the silence, and Connor stopped abruptly. His hand was on the doorknob, but he slowly backed away.

"Out, I guess?"

"Where have you, Where have you been sneaking off too?" Evan asked, his eyes flooding with tears. "Am I not... am I not good enough anymore?" He asked, his voice breaking slightly at the end.

"What? That's not...Baby, no. No, no, no. I'm not... I would never..." Connor shut the door, and slowly moved closer to Evan. When he finally reached him, he hesitantly held Evan in his arms.

Evan whimpered in Connors arms, but made no movement of escaping.

"I'm sorry, baby. I didn't... I didn't know you heard me leave... but it's not what you think I'm doing." Connor pulled away, still holding Evans hands. "Come on, I'll show you."

Evan was hesitant, and Connor would see it in his eyes. "Hey, I promise it's nothing bad. No uh, like, sex clubs or anything... side note, are you afraid of heights?"

"Evan Hansen, my beautiful boyfriend, this is where I've been sneaking off too." Connor gestured to the water below. "It's a quarry I used to go to all the time when I was little."

"Oh! Oh thank god, I really, I really like you and I, I didn't want to break up. That would have been, that would have been awful." Connor chuckled, taking Evans hand again.

"Well, come on! The waters nice tonight!"

"We're gonna? Wait, I didn't bring a swim suit!" Connor chuckled again.

"Neither did I." He began to strip, leaving only his boxers on. "Well? Come on."

"Oh! Um." Evan stripped awkwardly, folding his clothing next to Connors. "Okay. Okay."

"Alright. On the count of three, jump. One, two-"

"Wait like on three or after, or-"

"Three!"

Evan screamed as Connor pulled them down. They landed with a loud splash and Evan came up for air, gasping.

"Holy shit." Evan mumbled. "I can't feel anything, except, except my heartbeat in my... everywhere."

"Awe. Did I scare you?" Connor asked, a pouty look on his face as he swam closer to Evan. "Awe... did baby get scared."

"Connor!" Evan laughed as Connor attacked him with kisses. "No! Not the kisses!"

Connor evilly laughed, pulling Evan so that they could kiss on the lips. Evan let out a sigh, his hands instantly running to Connors hair. Evan felt Connors hands go to his waist, pulling him up and spinning him gently.

When they finally pulled away, Evan looked around. "How do we.. how do we get out?"

"Huh. I didn't think about that." Evan lightly hit Connor on the chest, giving him an angry face. "Okay, okay! We go up those rocks. Come on, this way."

Evan followed behind Connor, until they reached the top. Connor waited for Evan to get up to the top, and then Evan sprinted towards their clothing.

"I mean, I guess we could use our clothing as towels. That's what you've been doing, right? Yeah. Yeah totally. Okay, so uh, just-"

Evans words stopped as soon as he turned around.

Connor Murphy stood on one knee, a ring box in his hand.

"What? What!"

Connor chuckled before going into a monologue he clearly had memorized.

"I used to go to this quarry because it brought me joy as a kid. I could hang out here with my family and.. feel free. Once my depression hit, we started going here less. I couldn't find myself to be happy anymore. And then I met you. Evan Hansen, you've helped me through so much, and I've realized something. You bring me the same, uh, carefree joy I used to feel here, but more. So, uh, I want to... to be with you. Tonight and forever. So uh, Evan Hansen? Will you marry me?"

Evan nodded through the tears, too choked up to say anything. He went to the floor, and pulled Connor into a hug, kissing him all over.

"Baby... it's okay. It's okay." Evan nodded, holding Connor tighter. "Hey, wanna go get ice cream, sweetheart? I know how much you love that little place by us."

Evan nodded, smiling wide. "I... I just... I love you so much, and-"

"I know, baby. I know."
