Evan Hansen was known for being the sweet one. If you needed anything, he was always willing to help, no matter what. He was pure, sweet, and loved by all, and never, never wore dark colors.

Connor Murphy was not that.

He wore all black, curses more than he probably should, hated people and refused to help them. He was the opposite of pure, and no one could understand how Evan Hansen was with him.

But they made it work. They excepted each other, and they loved each other.

"So... you don't think of me any different?" Evan asked carefully, looking down at his hands and not his angsty boyfriend.

"No. If anything, I think that you're even better than you already were." Connor grabbed Evans hands, holding them close. "I would never think anything bad of you. I promise. I mean, you've been with me through my depression shit. Like, this is the least I could do."

"Oh." Evan mumbled, blushing. "Well, it's just, you know, I just. I uh."

"Evan. It's okay." Connor said gently, standing up. "Let me protect you for once. You've been so good to me, let me help you. I'll do whatever you need me to do."

"Well? Uh. Thank, thank you. I want to keep it on the down low for now, though. But... thank you. So much." Evan beamed, holding Connors hand as they walked the hallways.

"I love you, Con." Evan whispered, a small smile on his face as he studied Connors face.

"I love you too, Ev." Connor started to lean in before the boys were interrupted.

"Well well well. What do we have here?"

Evan rolled his eyes. "Go away, Rich."

"Awe, you're adorable." Connor growled, but Rich ignored him. "Evan, I still don't get what you see in that guy." He said, speaking as if Connor wasn't there. "Besides, you two have a weird reputation. The school vampire and the school prince? It's something you never see!"

"Well..." Evan trailed off, letting go of Connors hand so he could step forward. "You see, here's the thing. He's human."

Evan smiled, flashing his razor sharp teeth. Rich jumped back in panic, screaming as he ran to the cafeteria.

"Holy fuck." Connor said, stepping closer to Evan. "I can't believe you did that. He's gonna tell everyone!"

"No one will believe him." Evan stated. "Besides, the worst it will do is bring his reputation down. I've... I've done this before, at my other school. It's a fun game."

Connor paused for a minute before finally replying. "You're wild."

"Only for you, my prince."
