[Ethan Steiner]

Ethan's POV

"ETHAN, WAKE UP" Y/N screamed into my ear

"Y/N? What do you want" I asked

"We're gonna be late for school get up" Y/N yelled

"Crap" I said I got up and got dresses.

We ran down stairs, I grabbed my backpack and ran out of the house. We slowed down after running for 20 minute. We still have and hour before school so we walked down to the subway.

"This place always freaks me out" Y/N said

"I will keep you safe. My mom always makes me carry pepper spray" I said

Y/N smiled and looked down with a blush spread onto the face. Our train came and we walked on, I tightened my grip on Y/N's arm. I felt Y/N shaking, I knew that Y/N was scared. I pulled Y/N closer to me. I felt Y/N loosen up a tad. After 15 minute on the train we finally were able to get off the train. We got closer to the school, but I was very hungry.

"Y/N wanna stop and get some food" I asked

"Heck yeah" Y/N smiled

"Sweet, let's go" I said

"CRAP, I forgot my wallet Ethan" Y/N said

"I will pay of you" I said

"Thanks" Y/N said

We walked to a near by bakery, I got a blueberry muffin and Y/N got a banana nut muffin. I payed for the both of us and we walked the rest of the way to school. We walk to our homeroom, we both had Mr. Deer. We sat down in the very back. We finished our muffins, our other class mates walked into the room. We were  in homeroom for 15 teen minute when they told us to head to the adatorim. We sat in there for 10 minute before the curtains opened.

Y/N POV

The curtains opens and I noticed a women in a military outfit. It was my mom, I shot out of my seat and my on to the stage. I ran into her arms, she wrapped her arms around me and gave me a tight hug.

"Mom" I cried

"I am here honey, and I am here to stay" She said

I let out a small whimper, my mom his been gone for three years. I pulled away to look at my mother.

"You have grown up so much honey. How have you been" She asked

"I have been fine, can we talk in private? " I asked

She nodded and we walked off stage, she gave me a kiss on the forehead.

"I missed you mom" I said

"I missed you too sunshine" She smiled

"When did you come home" I asked

"This morning, your father told me that you went to Ethan's" She said

"Am I allowed to leave school" I asked

"You are, so let's go home" She said

I nodded and we walked out of the school. We got home and I sat in the living room next to my mom and dad.
I wasn't really close to my mom since she is gone a lot. My dad was always there for me but my mom was not.

      We talked for hours and it was time for me to head to bed.  I walked into my room, I flopped onto my bed and after half an hour there was a tap on my window. I walked over to see Ethan. He had hot chocolate and some cookies. I opened my window and crawled outside to the fire escape. Ethan handed me a hot chocolate, we sat on the fire escape.

"Be right back" I whispered

I climbed inside and I grabbed a blanket and went back onto the fire escape. I wrapped me and Ethan in the blanket.

"So your mom is home?" Ethan asked

"Yeah, but me and her aren't that close. She came home and she only talked to my dad about what she did when she was away. " I mumbled

"Oh, did she talk to you at all? " He asked

"No not really" I said

I took a sip of my hot chocolate and then I dipped my cookie into my hot chocolate. I let out a small hum in delight. I leaned my head onto Ethan's shoulder.

"Ethan?" I asked

"Yeah?" He said

"Do you think my mom even cares about me?" I asked

"Sure she does Y/N" Ethan said

"You think so?" I asked

"Yeah I do" He said

I looked up at him, Ethan was kind to me. He was my only friend in school no one really likes me cause I read to a lot.

"It is getting late Y/N, I think you should get to bed" Ethan said

"But that would mean moving, and you are so warm" I said

Ethan chuckled and he pulled me closer to him. I snuggled into his chest and slowly I drifted off to sleep.

~Time Skip~

I woke up to feel a warm presence next to me. I snuggled into Ethan's chest, he was super warm. I felt Ethan move so I quickly closed my eyes, I felt Ethan pull me into tightly. I let out a groan and I opened my eyes.

"Morning" Ethan said

"Good morning" I yawned

"Did you sleep well?" Ethan asked

"I did,  how about you? " I asked

"I slept fine, I was warm to" He said

"Oh, what time is it?" I asked

"It is about 5:45" Ethan said

"Okay, what do you wanna do?" I asked

"We could watch Netflix or we could play Mario Kart" Ethan suggest

"Mario Kart" I said

We got up and went inside to my room. We sat on my bed and started to play Mario Kart.

"I won SUCK IT LOSER" I screamed

"Shut up" Ethan mumbles

"I'm sorry" I said

"Nah it's fine Y/N" Ethan said

"I am still sleepy" I yawned again

"Then lets go back to sleep" He said

We laid down and I slowly drifted off into a deep sleep.
