[Jeremy Jordan]

Jacks POV

I woke up to hear the sound of thunder crashing and rain pouring outside as I settled down to sleep I hear a loud scream from outside. I wasn't the only person that heard it because I saw Race, Albert, and Crutchie wake up.

"Jack, what was that?" Race asked

"i don't know but I'm gonna go check it out. Race you're in charge." I said

I started to walk outside when in the darkness I saw two people. One looked hurt the other looked like they were trying to protect the other. I slowly walked over to the to see a girl badly hurt curled over a little boy. The little boy whimpered as I got close to them.

"Are you Jack Kelly?" the girl asked

"Yes, and you are?" I asked

"I'm Y/N and this is my little brother Ty" She said "I need you to keep him safe please. No other burrow wants to help because of who I use to date. Please I need you to keep him till its safe"

I could see that she was worried for her little brother. She had tears going down her face.

"Who did you use to date?" I asked

"Spike" She told me

Spike is the leader of long island newsies, you don't mess with him or his girl.

"I broke up with him and them ran away. He sent newsies after us and he isn't gonna stop till I go back.  I don't Ty there its not safe please." Y/N cried

"Okay, I'll take him under one condition" I said

Y/N shook her head

"If he starts hurting you come back here and I will keep both of you safe." I told her

"Deal" She said

She handed me he little brother and ran off into the night.

Y/N POV

I ran as fast as I could out of Manhattan and back to Long Island, as I back I felt a hand grab my wrist and pull me into a dark alley.

"Hello Kurt" I snapped

Kurt is Spikes runner and by runner I mean he does all of Spikes dirt work.

"Hello Y/N" He looked at me with cold eyes

He held on to my wrist and pinned my to the cold alley wall behind us, his hands soon moved up to my neck.

"Now you are going to be a good girl and come back to Long Island with me. You can come the easy way or my way." Kurt said

I spat in Kurt's face and tried to run but Kurt grabbed my ankle and pulled me closer to him. Kurt pulled some rope out of his pocket and he tired my hands and feet. I tried to scream but he also tied my mouth with some cloth he found. I tried to fight as I was dragged to Long Island. You see I'm kinda a problem to people because for one Spike and two my older brother is the leader of Jersey. I didn't go to my brother because I don't want a newsie war starting. I was snapped out of my thoughts by Kurt throwing me to the ground.

"Crap" I groaned

"Ah, if it wasn't my little princess" Spike said

"I'm not your princess Spike. I broke up with you" I snapped

"Where's the brat" Spike said with a smile

"HE IS NOT A BRAT, HE'S ONLY TEN" I yelled

I went to attack Spike but I was pulled back by the rope that held me to the wall/

"Where is he?" Spike asked again

"Safe and away from you" I spat

Spike chuckled and then left me tired in the dark basement.

Jacks POV

"Okay buddy, I need you to tell me a way to save your sister" I asked Ty

"Riff, leader of Jersey. He's our older brother, he doesn't know that Spike is making Y/N date him. She NEVER loved Spike but he made her date him or I would get hurt" Ty explained

"RACER, ALBERT,ROMEO. GET UP WERE GOING TO JERSEY" I yelled

The three boys climbed out of bed and followed me and Ty to Jersey. Once we got there Ty showed us were to go and we ended up in this run down school.

"Hey kiddo" A person said

"Hey Kip, where's Riff?" Ty asked

"Gym" The kid named Kip said

We followed Ty into the gym and once we walked in Riff turned around and smiled.

"Hey kiddo" Riff said

"Riff, Jack needs your help to save Y/N" Ty said

"What, is she okay?" Riff asked

"Spike has her" I told him

"How long has he had her" Riff asked sounding mad

"Well he kidnapped the both of us and told Y/N that if she didn't date him I would get hurt so she said yes. One day I got hurt and she grabbed me and ran. We have been hiding for about a week when she gave me to Jack and ran off. I am pretty sure that Spike has her by now" Ty explained

"THAT TWO FACED SON OF A -----" Riff started but stopped "WIND, KIP, NOTHIN, LOSS"

The four boys walked in and Riff explained what happened. We started to walk back to long Island when Riff told Race to take Ty to the Manhattan lodging house.

Y/N POV

Spike kept coming back and was trying to find out where Ty was cause he knows if he has Ty he can do whatever he wants to me cause I will do anything to protect my baby brother.

"YOU WORTHLESS GIRL. WHERE IS THE LITTLE MONSTER" Spike yelled

"JUST BECAUSE YOU NEVER HAD ANYONE THAT LOVES DOESN'T GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO CALL MY LITTLE BROTHER A MONSTER" I yelled

Just as I finished I felt Spikes foot collide with my side. I screamed in pain as he kicked me again. Just as I was about to let out another scream we heard yelling from upstairs and I knew it was Riff.

"RIFF HEL-" I started but Spike covered my mouth

The door coming into the basement was slammed open and my brother (Riff) came storming down the stairs.

"YOU GIVE ME MY BABY SISTER RIGHT NOW YOU TWO FACED DOG. And trust me you gonna get hurt way more than you think" Riff snapped

Riff walked over to Spike and knocked him out with on solid punch, Jack untied me and I fell into his arms. Jack picked me up and he started to carry me out of the creepy basement when I blacked out.

I woke up in a bed next to Ty, I knew I wasn't in Jersey so I have be in Manhattan. I turned to see Jack, I smiled and kissed his forehead. and I slowly fell back asleep with a smile on my face.
