Chapter 37

Jae Eun's POV...

Scoups focused his attention outside and was silent the whole ride. We arrived in the dorm and I trailed behind him as we went inside. He abruptly stopped in front of his room, making me flinch backwards when I bumped on his back. He just stood there like a statue. I politely bowed and slowly walked towards my room but his hand locked on my wrist and he dragged me to his room. The other members were giving me a questioning look and I immediately mouthed to them 'I have no idea.'

He let go of me before turning to close the door. I let my eyes dance throughout his room. This is undoubtly his scent and I hate to admit that I really love this smell. I'm in a guy's room alone with a guy. I couldn't help but feel nervous about it.

"Sit." His husky voice startled me, making me sit on his bed in an instant.

I kept my head down so I didn't knew what he was doing. The next thing I knew was that he was kneeling before me, treating the cuts on my hands.

Deafening silence filled the atmosphere. Everytime I try to say a word, that word just vanishes into nothing.

"Hey, are you upset?" I finally unclogged my throat. "Did I do something wrong? If it's about Min Soo, I'm sorry okay. But trust me, he's not dangerous. I don't know but his aura oozes security ever since the first time I met him. I--" Once more the words vanished when he looked at me with pained piercing eyes.

Don't look at me like that.

"Why didn't you tell me anything?" He questioned and continued to apply ointment on my cuts.

"About what?" I asked, bewildered.

"About your stepmother and stepsister. Mina told me what happened. I told you to tell me if something is bothering you, didn't I? Do you not trust me?" His voice cracked and it hurt me to hear it. 

"Of course I trust you." I said gently and sincerely. "I just don't want to drag you into my mess. I've caused you enough problems. I have Min Soo anyway. He'll protect me from them and I'm sure he will---" I was shut into silence when his soft lips were pressed unto mine. I pushed him away but he won't even budge an inch.

Fuck. I can't breath!

His lips moved heatedly on mine. Temptation and emotions seemed to take control over me so I couldn't help but kiss him back.

Get your shit together Jae Eun!

With this thought in mind, I gathered as much strength as I could and pushed him away. I looked at him incredulously and he seemed a bit shocked himself.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled. He reached out his hands for mine but I instictively slapped it away.

Oh no.

I couldn't believe my action. I didn't mean to do that.

"Sorry." He once again said, his voice full of pain. He ran a finger through his disheveled hair as he stood up and I watched him make his way out of the room.

I gasped for air as if I was deprived of oxygen for the past seconds. I felt constriction in my chest and it was painful as hell than any other physical injuries.

Why did you do that? I badly wanted to ask him but I was afraid to know the answer.

"Then am I right to say that the one you like is Scoups-oppa?" Ji Su's words unconsciously slipped in my mind.

No fucking way! Of course I don't. There's no way I can. I can't take his kindness as a reason to like him like the 'like' Ji Su meant.

But what about what he did earlier?

Dammit! Now I'm running crazy because of him!

I banged my head hard on the wall to let pain straighten my thoughts. I was wrong though. Pain engulfed my entire being and I fell to the ground, curling myself into a ball as I held my head. The door flew open and came in the members who probably heard the sound. I looked up to them but all I saw was red. My surroundings began to melt and twirl and seconds after, I was consumed by darkness.

Mansae! I was finally able to start writing about these two's love story. I wasn't able to write it in the early part since I was still debating with myself whether I'll pair her up with Min Soo, Scoups or Mingyu. That was why their love blossomed late. I decided it will be Scoups since this is a SVT Fanfic.
