My Happy Ending.

First day of May.

It was a refresher, honestly. I haven't seen or spoken to Justin but it was good to get away from him. I was pretty good friends with Luke now, so that was the  good news in my life.

I walked into school, looking for Chaz. I still had to get Arden a date. I waited until after lunch to look because he wasn't in English neither was Justin. I saw him by his locker. If he was back then Justin had to be too. He was putting books into his locker.

"Hey Chaz." He jumped a little and I looked at him, confused.

He had on sunglasses and a beanie.

"You alright?"

"Not so loud."

"Hang over?"

"Something like that."

A little plastic bag fell out. He picked it up and stuffed inside his locker.

"What's up? If you're looking for Justin, I'm sure he's around somewhere."

I opened his locker and took the bag out. "Are you high right now?"

"If I was stoned, I wouldn't be here. Trust me, I'd be off doing some stupid shit." He laughs a little.

"Where'd you get the marijuana, Chaz?"

"We met a dude in Canada. Now, put it back for Mr. P sees you."

He takes the bag and puts it back in there. "We?"

"Oh god. It's not that bad. We made a few little blunts and took it all in."

"You're crazy." "

Eh. You're right." He nods, smiling.

"When you're done with that, I was wondering if you'd take Arden out."

"Out? Like on a date?"

"Yeah. She - She likes you."

"She doesn't even know me."

"Fine. She thinks you're cute. Just take her out."

"Fine. She's cute so I'll do it."

"Thank you." I walked away.

I started looking for Justin. The janitor's closet opened and he came out. "Justin?"

He turned around and froze.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"Looking for my books. Ryan and Chaz took my stuff so I checked the janitor's closet."

"Huh. - How was Canada?" I fold my arms across my chest.

"Beautiful as always. How's Arden?"

"She's getting there."

He just nods.

"I talked to that guy some more. Luke. He's awesome."

"He is? Well, did he ask you out?"

"No. Were just friends but I do kind of think he's cute."

"If you need a date, I got you."

"Yo Justin." Ryan says, walking over.

"Hey man." Justin says with clenched teeth.

"Uh - Hey Lucy. You have Mr. Kirk for Algebra right?"

"Yeah."

"I need help with these equations, they're confusing."

I roll my eyes."Yeah, nice try though. She can come out now."
