The sun shined on the wall.

I laid there in her bed with her head on my chest.

I didn't feel right. I felt guilty for an odd reason. The one thing I couldn't get my mind was Lucy. The things I said to her and the things she said to me. Everything was falling apart.

I got up slowly so Caitlin's head would be let down gently. I started to put my clothes on, looking at the clock, I realized it was 9pm. I tiptoed my way towards the door and down the stairs. I looked back before I opened the door. I had a feeling Caitlin knew why I did what I did. I shook it off and walked out, closing the door slowly behind me.

I walked inside my house and walked into the living room. I laid on the couch and stared at the ceiling. I was fucking up badly. I lost Lucy and that was worst mistake of all. I walked into the kitchen to get me a Sprite. I pulled back the opener and took a sip.

"What did you do?" I heard a voice say.

I jumped and turned on the light to see Ryan.

"What the hell, man?"

"What the hell is going on with you and Lucy?"

"Nothing?" He looks at me, narrowed. And I sighed. "I fucked up. And now, she hates me."

"That's not the first time."

"No man. She genuinely hates me. And I fucked somebody else out of anger."

"You fucked - who?"

I had to lie. I couldn't say Caitlin because that would cause hell and I was already going through it.

"Girl I met at the club."

"Stripper?"

"Nah, a girl from before."

"Huh. Justin, you gotta make this right...again."

"I'm tired of trying. Maybe Lucy and I just aren't meant to be."

Next day, I avoided school. I wasn't ready to face Caitlin nor Lucy. I decided to keep playing the same song over and over. I never wrote the lyrics to it, but the chords could tell it was a sad song. A song about her. The times we had. Most of the times I fucked up. I heard the door open and I walked out of my room. I stood there on top of the staircase to see Lucy.

My mom looked up at me. "I'll be out back." She flashes me a smile and walks out towards the back.

Lucy looked up at me with her big brown eyes.

"What do you want?" I asked her.

I was shocked to see she was here.

"To tell you that I'm sorry."

"You are?"

"I said some pretty harsh things. I've been going through a lot."

"That's obvious." She starts walking up the stairs. "I really did care about you. Honest." She caressed my face softly.

I shook her hand off. "I can't do it."

"Do what?"

"I had sex. With someone else."

"Oh." She backed away a little. "I did too." She looks up at me and I look at her confused.

"What? Who?"

"Sean."
