I picked up Quinn and kissed her fat cheeks. She squealed in laughter.

"Mommy love you, chunky monkey." I told her. "Mommy love you so much."

Alina opened my office door. She was yawning.

"Time for babies to go to sleep." Alina announced.

I kissed Quinn one more time. I handed her over to Alina and repeated those steps with my other two chicken bears.

"I'll text you in the morning, my love." I told Alina, giving her a kiss on the cheek. "I love you."

"I love you, too." She winked at me.

"Bye bye." Brooke waved at me.

"Bye babies." I blew kisses.

As Alina was walking out, Lucas came in. I haven't really seen him today after the incident with Brian but I guess now I was gonna hear it. I sat back in my seat.

"Your husband is really a piece of work." Lucas laughed and sat down.

"What happened?"

"The usual jealousy of a husband skit. Threats, cold eyes. He has very beautiful eyes, actually."

"I apologize about that." I shake my head.

"Why did you even marry him?" Lucas asked.

I didn't answer.

"Well, apparently you have your hooks in him. Miscarriage, betrayal, pain is still not enough to break you guys up. What would it take?"

"Brian is not going to divorce me and vice versa. We made vows." I told him. "And I am a woman of my word."

"No disrespect, I'm honestly trying to understand, why did you hide the miscarriage?"

"I was trying to protect his heart." I sighed. "I was also trying to protect my heart. Figured if I hid from it, neglected the situation, I would be okay. Did the same thing with my father's death. I buried the pain only for it to hit me months later. And my reasoning for it is that it's life. I've come to terms with the way life works. You love something, someone and life tears it away from you. And you either deal with it or you run from it. I've taken on government officials, new generation Nazi clans...all of that brushed off my shoulders like nothing. I can deal with that pain. I'm not strong enough to deal with emotions."

Lucas was listening to my every word, hard.

"I'm going to finish up a few files and see what else needs to be touched up."

Lucas nodded. He stood. "Close the files, go home. This office will always have something to touch up. Stop hiding and deal."

I stayed quiet. He left. I shake my head to clear it and get back to my work. Literally two seconds later, Brian walked in. I sighed.

"Over your tantrum?" I asked him.

"You are strong enough to deal with emotional pain. You just choose to push it away so it won't affect you and that method is what's killing you." He stated.

"Eavesdropping, huh?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Saw him come in here. Thought I had to shoot him."

I chuckled. It got quiet. We stared at each other for a moment . Brian came closer to me.

"I'm sorry." He whispered, pushing my hair back. "I've been neglecting how you feel and I'm sorry. I...I miss you and seeing you with him drives me crazy because I don't ever want to see you look at him the way you look at me. You're mine."

I nodded slowly. Brian kissed me intensely. I kissed him back. I felt like I was melting under his lips. It was like I was floating in the clouds and the only thing I could focus on was my husband. My husband who was also my lifeline. Things got pretty hot and heavy and somehow everything that was on my desk was on the floor and we took it's place. I broke away from him for a second and he pouted.

"I have glass sides all around my office. And I also have night workers. You better shut those blinds before I shut my legs." I told him.

He laughed and ran to do what I said.

Okay so I got a new tattoo today. I already have a bunch and my favorite is the matching one I have with my best friend. It's basically half of the infinity sign on my shoulder and the other side on hers. I also have a quote from F&F on my rib cage and I also have a inside lip tattoo that says Savage. I have too many to explain but the new one I got is a big ass black rose on my thigh and it's sexy asf 😍😍
