Nandini's room

Nandini had not meant to talk to Manik, but Manik here had a different idea. He sat in nandini's room waiting for her. Anika had told him that she was with her brothers on the terrace and instead of disturbing them, he had decided to wait

Manik looked around her room, this wasn't the first time he had come, rather he was someone who had been to nandini's room when it had been in the decorating stage. Although adi and he were on the outs, ishita had asked him for his opinion. He was said to know nandini well, her choices ,her preferences were understood by him. and he had been glad when she liked her room.

Manik saw nandini entering and as soon as she saw him , she stopped in her tracks. Her eyes wide, he was the last person she was expecting to see tonight. Moreover Manik's words from the parking lot hadn't left her mind completely

N : hi

Nandini was trying to act cool, but her eyes went at the things in her room, not once connecting with Manik's

M : hello princess

There was an awkwardness, and that was something they weren't used to. Since manik and nandini had been friends before everything, they never felt weird talking

Manik patted the place beside him, gesturing for nandini to take a seat. She moved and sat beside him.

N : it's late. You wanted something.

M : I am not here to talk about, you know what, if that's what you think

N : really and why not

M : nandini if it hadn't been complicated, I would have told you long back.

N : well then, why are you here?

M : I wanted to talk about Alia and Fab 5

This caught her interest, today itself nandini had talked to Alia, and things between Fab 5 were improving, so what made Manik worried

N : what happened

M : well even if you didn't want me to know, it has come to my notice that you played in part in making Alia understand

N : I just kept my point of view

Manik smiled, nandini never liked taking credit. He took her hand in his ,afraid if she would take it to back, but after a tense moment nandini intwined their fingers.

M : I don't know nandini, whatever she did, how I am supposed to forget all of that. Friends are supposed to stand by each other. But she has been going against me.

N : Manik, if one is your friend, that doesn't mean they are not going to have their own point of view, regarding situations. She has her own personality and is bound of have different opinions. I not saying what she did was right, but she felt she was supporting Ruhi. and Ruhi was her friend too, wasn't she.

M : we have been friends longer. and she just, didn't even think about Fab 5

N : she did, she just thought what she was doing would be good for Fab 5 . No one is asking you to move on in a day, but with time you will have to learn to accept people as they are, or cut them out of your life. In any case, give it time.

M : so have you forgiven her for what she said that day

N : not really, but I did understand her point of view. We are never really going to be friends, but atleat we can tolerate each other . and she hasn't even apologized. This is the nicest, I can be

M : you know I don't expect you to be nice to her. She hurt you, and for a while I have wanted to hurt her back the way she did to you. But everytime the fact that, me doing anything would only make problems for Fab 5 ,stopped me

Nandini understood, manik was feeling guilty, about the fact that his friends had hurt her and he hadn't done anything. But nandini did not blame Manik for that. He had always stood by her and she was grateful. Moreover the actions of Alia were not something Manik had to feel sorry for

N : Manik if it matters so much to you, just think Alia is your bandmate. Someone you have to work with. It will be easier that way.

Manik nodded and nandini smiles at him for good measure.

N : so this is why you were here

M : I wanted to see you. You were ignoring my messages

N : I didn't see them

M : you did, just didn't bother replying

Nandini smiles sheepishly, she had in fact read all of his messages. She didn't know what to say.

M : I should go, wouldn't want bhai to catch me. last time wasn't pretty

N : good night Manik

Manik brought the nandini's hand to his lips, making nandini blush.

M : good night princess.

Manik left and nandini laid on the bed. After a long time, she has a beautiful smile on her face before going to sleep.

Space academy

Nandini had adorned a smile today ,maybe it was because of Manik's good morning message or because the had send a flying kiss her way when she had entered the college.

She was in a good mood, which certainly dampred seeing a person. Walking towards the third lecture of the day, she saw Maddy. She had been avoiding him for a while now. Soha's warning had made her wary of him. Also she was never really interested in him, he was just something she had tried to distract herself with.

Md : good morning nandini

N : good morning

Md : one of my friends is throwing a party today evening. Many people for the college are going to be there. Do you want to go with me

Maddy hadn't left his hope, in trying to woo nandini. Nandini could see his flirtatious gaze on her.

N : I am busy today.

If you could call watching TV or reading a book, being busy then nandini was busy. But she knew she was just not interested.

Md : oh well let me message you the address if you change your mind.

Nandini smiles and little and then leaves, but Maddy is still looking at her continuously ,making her skin crawl with something unpleasant.

The rest of the day was calm, Ruhi had joined them today as well, but unlike yesterday Nanidni paid no attention. Chit chatting with friends, when the college got over ,nandini didn't even notice.
