Shivaay's office

Manik and nandini entered shivaay's cabin to see shivaay behind his desk and adi on front of him. Nandini took the seat beside adi and saw him sweating. Manik stood behind her. The atmosphere screamed serious.

S : so you want to tell me why is there no report about the deal. and even the investor seems to be not picking my calls. Now that your partner on crime is here

Shivaay's voice was joking almost bordering on taunting. And manik's hand clenched. Shivaay and an inking of what happened, he was just making them confess.

Manik tenses behind nandini and she looks at adi and the manik. She wanted to say something but silence seemed the better option right now.

Ad : bhai we

M : we need to tell you something

S : do you guys now ?

Gulping adi started telling shivaay. Manik has his hand in nandini's through out. Slightly wincing on shivaay's reaction Adi continued. He told about how a few days into the project and the investor backed out. The mafia demanding money and also the mishaps with the workers.

Shivaay banged his hand on the table, making nandini adi and Manik scared. They felt like students getting scolded by there teacher.

S : what do you both think of yourselves. So much has happened and you tell me now.

They were all silent, not knowing whether shivaay really was asking or it was a diabolical question

S : mafia, the freaking mafia. Goodness, how could you. What do you think it's so easy, to just give the money and walk away. Also do you know the funds that are in your names are not supposed to be used for these purposes. I guess, now I know why had there been a few mistakes in the financial reports this month. and how adi had been trying to hide it. and you Manik just because Raj uncle does not constantly put someone breathing down your neck doesn't mean you guys will do anything.

Shivaay huffed and nandini moved a glass of water towards him

S : did you know about all this princess

M : it's not her fault

Ad : she just found out

They were quick to jump in her defense and shivaay glared at them. Right now any word spoken by them only seemed to aggravate shivaay further

N : bhai we know they have made a huge mistake, but what now. We can't change this, but how do we deal with this. Mom and dad, what are we supposed to say to them

Shivaay sighed and sat down.

S : we need to tell them immediately, wait I need to. Also I am going to look into what is going on your work branch there . and both of you better stay away from that project now.

Manik and adi nodded. They were ready to agree to anything as long as it helps salvage the situation.

S : leave now.

Adi and Manik left while nandini stayed behind

N : it will be alright bhai, won't it

She had been putting a strong front ,but she too was scared.

S : don't fret princess. When you have reached such heights in buisness, you come across various hurdles. Some big some small but you get past them. and then you improve

Nandini left and shivaay too sighed moving towards Raman's office, hoping that his father was in good mood and took in the whole situation with patience.

Adi's office

Manik ,Nanidni and adi are sitting in his office glancing at the clock every five minutes. Either looking at their phones or towards the door. Fidging with their hands or something around, none of them were able to sit still. The clouds of impending doom laid in front of them now.

Shivaay's words had made Manik and Adi's fears come true, fear of disappointing those who believed in them. Fear of bringing loss to the company their parents have created with hard work.

Nandini had been someone, who had tried to be the most calm and positive in this situation. But right now even she was afraid. She knew her parents were going to be angry and had every right to. But then one look and adi and Manik, the two most important people of her lives and everything changed. Right or not she did not want them feelings worse them they already were.

N : what do you think dad said.

Ad : well it can't be good. We got us into trouble and then didn't even tell anyone

M : bhai has gone to speak to him. I think he will save Us

Ad : yes perhaps like childhood bhai can save us. Like he did once when we broke dad's computer and one important presentation of his was lost. Bhai managed the situation

They were trying to reassure themselves, they knew it was nothing but false hope. But it brought a little peace to their mind and that was a major deal right now.

N : well this is far more serious than a computer. But then again we aren't children anymore

Looking around, the time passed time slowly. And then when The intercom in Adi's cabin buzzed, he picked it up at once. Raman had summoned both him and Manik to his cabin. His voice had been cold which did nothing to soothe their worries.

Nandini tagged along with them and together they walked up-to the lift for Raman's cabin. Her hand in Manik's and when the latter looked at her. Her eyes gave silent reassurance that it will all be okay. Nanidni had been Manik's anchor today, guiding him through.

But who was nandini really reassuring Manik or herself.
