Nandini's room

Nandini reached to her room and squeals, she was happy to be going out with Manik . Opening her closet she takes out dresses and tries them on herself.

Preeti enters nandini's room to see almost a fortune worth of dresses on the floor, and finds nandini still rummaging through closet.

P : was there a flood. What are u doing

N : I have no clothes

Preeti looks around at almost thirty dresses that were on the floor and about a double of them still on the hangers

P : right, I mean a walk in closet full of stylish and branded dresses, God no wonder you are worried

Nanidni gives her a deadpan stare. And preeti shrugs

P : okay what exactly do you need a dress for

N : I am going on a date

P : Manik might not like that

Nanidni thows a dress at her

N : I am going with him

Preeti then comes forward and looks around

P : well then I need to make you look good. This is best friend job.

Preeti then helps Nandini with her dress and make up and when she finally looks into the mirror, she is happy to see herself

P : you look amazing

N : I do

A horn is heard and preeti looks down from nandini's balcony.

P : your date is here

N : and I should get down if I want to avoid another encounter like today morning.

She takes her clutch and walks down the stairs hurriedly and meets manik at the door. Manik looks at her and smiles.

M : you look beautiful

N : you look good too. Now let's go

M : okay what's the hurry

Nanidni starts walking towards the car with Manik behind her

N : I sure don't want one of my brother's questioning you . Do you?

M : you're right let's go

Manik opened the door for her and she gets in. He starts the car and they drive off.

Manik takes nandini to a rooftop hotel. the first look and it screams luxury. getting inside, nandini is impressed with the interiors, giving the place a mordern vibe. manik and nandini get in the elevator and go to the top floor. Manik has been holding her hand since the car ride, and his hand is a bit clammy and nandini can see that he is nervous.

Since the walls of the elevator are made of glass, nandini looks out, the city lights look amazing as they go higher. It feels like going to the top of the world.

reaching, manik let's nandini go out first, waiting behind to see her reaction.

the rooftop is lighted and decorated, with a table for two at the middle. Red rose petals are on the floor making a the shape of heart. With lights overhead and the view of the city in front, the place looks ethereal. It's in the open and the fresh air goes through nandini's hair. She smiles and takes a look around. It was perfect.

Manik is nervous as nandini turns around to look at him, she smiles and the same is mirrored on his face. He had tried his best to make sure tonight is special for nandini and for them.

pulling a chair for her, manik makes her sit and then sits in front of her. The waiter brings the food, which includes a few of nandini's favourite dishes. The time passes with casual talk , they talk about anything and everything, his music, her dreams, about college and friends. Manik and nandini never had to think before saying anything, and this quality of their relationship had only grown stronger with time.

After the food, Manik holds his hand in front of her, asking her for a dance. A song from his latest album plays and he remembers how he had pictured nandini while writing it. Nandini grabs it, and soon they are moving to the beats of music. They are perfectly in sync and looking directly into each other's eyes, down to the soul.
. The song is over but nandini is still in his arms. Her eyes move from his face to look at the fireworks in the sky, the fireworks which formed the words at the same time as manik said them

M : I love you

a blush is coated on her face but manik still keeps talking . She doesn't turn to look at him but he can clearly see her smile.

M : I have loved you since I didn't even know the meaning of the word love nandini. You mean more than anything to me in the world. Whenever anything goes wrong one look at you and I know it will be alright. When you trust me, I trust myself.

Nanidni looks at him but he isn't finished yet. Their were so many things he needed to say. Many of them he should have said before, but it's never too late right.

M : I should have said it that day, I am sorry I didn't. I am sorry that what was meant to be a beautiful night ended like this. I wish I had been there when you woke up, kissed you and wished you good morning. We would have stayed in bed and I would have told you I love you. We would talk about anything and everything just because we didn't want to leave eachother's embrace. I would have dropped you home, and we would have a relationship.

M : I know I can't change it now as much as I want, but I can tell you that nandini I do love you. And I have for a while. I love my best friend who is there with me, my princess whose one smile is enough to turn my day happy.

Nanidni goes on her tiptoes and kisses him, and then in his ear she says the words she has been dying to say

N : I love you too Manik

Nandini said those words, which she had said back in that hotel room that day, and she meant then as much she had then.

all this while what nandini learned was love is not just about getting support, but supporting too. in love people make mistakes sometimes to protect the person they love,they hurt them, it doesn't mean that love is not there, just that the interpretation of that love was different

this whole ordeal had taught Manik and nandini are lot, make there trust in each other strong, and proved how much they understand each other. that's love

she can waste more time fighting with Manik, or she could let go. She could fall in love with Manik everyday and learn what love is all about. She had learned manik was not really at fault, they were just pawns of situation.

Manik has been in love with nandini even before she had gone to America. She has been the only girl in his life and he knew it was going to stay that way forever. Once he had promised shivaay he would let nandini choose the person she wants to spend her life with and he did fulfill it. Nanidni had choosen him to love.

hearing nandini say what Manik had thought was a distant dream now, brought a expressions of intense happiness on his face. he placed his lips on nandini, kissing her, telling her how much he did really love her, and how thankful he was to get her love back

N : and I don't want you to say sorry again. You made a mistake, you apologized and I forgave. Let's not talk about it again.

.manik nodded and together they turned to look at the fireworks, which somehow represents the happiness and joy returning to their lives .

This was a proposal nandini wanted this was what she had dreamt of. Manik and nandini together and this moment right there was perfect.
