Malhotra mansion

Today's morning was beautiful in all senses. Even when the ghosts of the past scared manik, he now has his princess supporting him. Many people might say that he has always been there for nandini, stood by her at every step. But in truth nandini was the one who gave him strength. The proof was clear, when nandini had left Manik was devastated, his childhood had revolved around her, and her dissapearence made him lose his center of gravity. Again when he had walked out on her, he had been in so many troubles. But his mind never moved from her thoughts.

Now that nandini was lay in his arms, looking ethereal in all her morning glory, manik was happy. He could fight the world now, because she was standing by his side.

His arms tightened around her when he remmembers last night, nandini had been with him at his lowest, comforted him with soothing words and light kisses. But he wasn't sure if that was just spur of the moment or she has actually been trying to forgive him.

Manik kisses her forehead lightly,then her cheeks, trailing down to her neck. He smiles seeing her smile. Nandini woke up, gently opening her eyes to see Manik first in the morning. Yesterday had been a lot to take in, but seeing manik seemed like nothing had changed.

M : good morning. I

Manik stopped, he wanted to say it, but he wanted that moment to be special. After going through so much, nandini deserves that. Moreover he didn't know whether she wanted him to say it.

Nandini however didn't notice this and wished him back. Turning her back towards him, she picked up her phone. Manik was now spooning her, his head on her shoulder. And he too peeked at her mobile screen.

M : adi is worried, so is bhai.

N : I should have messaged them. What will I do now ?

Manik kisses her hair gently seeing her worried.

M : calm down princess, just say u were with me. And that you are safe and will be home by the evening

N : really, and what am I going to do until evening

M : no one's home. And we are like this after so long, I am not letting you go

Manik tightened his hold on her, nuzzling her neck.

N : I don't even have clothes here

M : call any of your friends. Or I can call mine

Manik wasn't going to budge on this, he wanted nothing more to spend time with nandini. Make up for all those moments he had missed the past month.

Nanidni had missed this too, just staying in his arms, talking to him, sharing there views on everything. She didn't wish to leave either. So she decided she would face the rest of the world later. Right now she was with the most important person in her life and that is where she wanted to be.

Nandini though for a while. She could call preeti, but she hasn't talked since that evening, and preeti would even tell adi. Navya, nandini didn't want to call her because she and preeti were great friends. Ironically, the person nandini knew who wouldn't tell anyone, would be soha. Equations had changed drastically. So she asked a favor. Keeping her phone back, she turns in Manik's arms.

They have a lazy morning, and cuddle for a while. Manik goes to take shower first, followed by nandini. No hurry, just basking in each other's presence.

The door bell rang and manik went down to see who it was.

Soha stood by the door, their last encounter had been, her throwing herself at him, manik was not sure what to say. But he understood nandini's reason to call her. Weirdly even after everything, manik and nandini understood each other so well.
