Chapter 17

Two months later...

Davina's pov

"I can't believe it. This is amazing!" I squeal in excitement making my mother and grandmother burst out laughing. "Well believe it my dear" my grandmother replies "I have to find Kol. I have to tell him the good news" I respond pulling them both into a hug making them laugh "go to him" my mother says giving me a warm smile before I hurry out the room and run to find my husband. 

It's been two months since me and Kol got married and it's been amazing, everything has only gotten better for us, our love has gotten stronger and we're both just so happy. Kol has really come out of his shell and is finding his place here in Asgard. He's warmed up to the people and he's grown as a person, he's changed into a much calmer, care free man. Kol has slowly started to get use to his status as a God and me, my father and uncle have been helping him adjust and training him with his magic. Since the magic he has now is a lot different than the magic he had back when he was human so he struggled at first but once me and my father gave him a little guidance he was wielding magic like a pro and he absolutely loves magic. The look on his face whenever he succeeds in doing a spell is just mesmerizing and a little bit adorable.  

My grandfather Odin has made Kol a warrior which means when the time comes and when my grandfather thinks he's ready. Kol will be assisting my father, uncle and the three warriors on battles across the nine realms. Kol was wary of it at first as he thought he would be no good but my grandfather insisted he would make a great addition to the army and my father pointed out to him that he has abilities that the army could use like his vamp speed, his supernatural hearing, compulsion and because he can simply drain an enemy of blood though I don't think Kol will resort to draining an enemy of blood unless it's really necessary. 

I arrive at the army training ground and smile as I see Kol practicing his fighting skills with Hogan and Lady Sif. I watch him in awe as he moves effortlessly and the smile on his face is one hundred percent real. Kol loves practicing with Lady Sif and the three warriors, he also likes practicing with my father and uncle too. 

I take a deep breath before clearing my throat as I make my way on to the training battle field. They all stop and look at me. Kol smiles as he sees me "hello darling. What brings you here?" he asks walking over to me "I was wondering if you have a moment to spare. I have something to tell you" I explain "alright. Hey guys mind if I take a break my lovely wife wishes to speak to me for a moment" Kol says "sure go ahead" Lady Sif replies waving him off and Kol takes my hand in his and leads me away.

We reach our chambers and Kol turns to me once he shuts the door. "So what is it you need to tell me?" he asks curiously "I was just with my mother and grandmother and I found out the most incredible news" I reply "so what's the incredible news?" he asks "Kol I'm pregnant" I say his eyes widen for a moment before a huge smile appears on his face. "Really?" he asks "yes, I'm pregnant. Have a listen" I respond placing a hand on my stomach and he instantly looks at my stomach and begins listening very carefully. I smile as he gasps "there's a heartbeat. Oh my god there's two heartbeats" he says tears filling his eyes "I'm pregnant with twins" I respond he smiles and picks me up, wrapping his strong arms around me and twirls me around in his arms making me giggle. "This is amazing" he says as he places me back down "I know" I respond he places a hand on my stomach "how far along are you?" he asks "I'm two months pregnant. You know what that means right?" I ask "what?" he asks "it means we succeeded in making not one but two babies on the night of our wedding" I respond he smiles "first time lucky" he replies making me giggle. "God this is incredible. I'm gonna be a father" he says "yes you are and to two beautiful little children" I respond he cups my face in his hands. "I love you so much" he says pressing his forehead against mine "I love you too" I respond he smiles and rubs his nose against mine. "We should probably go tell your father and grandfather the news" he says "my grandfather will already know as my grandmother would've no doubt told him and I'm pretty sure my mother has gone and told my father" I respond "should I be worried that he'll come after me for getting you pregnant?" he asks making me giggle "not at all. My father has secretly been hoping for grandchildren" I respond and he sighs as he kisses my forehead. "So two months huh?" he questions "yes and you already know that Asgardian pregnancies are a little bit quicker than Midgardian pregnancies" I reply "between 7-8 months wasn't it?" he questions "that is correct and since I'm already two months gone, that means there's only five or six months to go until we meet our babies" I respond making him smile "god five or six months, we have a lot of planning and preparing to do" he says making me laugh slightly. "Yes we do. Now do you want to go back and continue your training with Lady Sif and the three warriors?" I ask "I'd rather spend some time with you after finding out you're carrying my babies" he replies just as the chamber doors are pushed open and my sister enters. She looks at us and smiles "is it true? Are you really pregnant?" she asks I smile and place my hand in Kol's as we turn to her "I am" I respond making her squeal "oh my god this is amazing. I'm going to be aunt, I'm going to love and spoil that baby like rotten!" she exclaims "you mean babies right?" I retort "wait are you having more than one baby?" she asks making us chuckle at her expression "she's pregnant with twins" Kol says and Hela fist bumps the air "yes get in! I am so happy right now. Of course I'm happy for you too, I just never thought I'd get to be an aunt" she responds "aw well you're gonna be a kick ass aunt" I respond making her laugh and grin "indeed I am now move aside Kol. I want to talk to my nieces or nephews" Hela says gently pushing Kol away making us laugh. Hela stands in front of me and bends down "hello little ones I know you can't see me but I am your aunt Hela. Now I must warn you I do look a little scary but don't be alarmed I mean you know no harm. I love you both so much already and you have the best woman in the world as your mommy" Hela says making me giggle and tear up slightly "Hela you're going to make me cry" I say with a sniffle making her and Kol chuckle. "Sorry that wasn't my intention" she replies "you think I'm going to be a good mother?" I ask "you're going to be the coolest mother in all of the nine realms" Hela replies before nudging Kol. "Right Kol?" she says "your sister is right. You're gonna be the best mother in the world and I am so happy you're having my babies" Kol says making me blush and my heart flutters "you're gonna be the best father in the world" I respond walking over to him and wrapping my arms around his neck. He smiles and kisses my nose making my stomach flip "on that note, I'm going to terrorize Fenrir" Hela says making a quick exit obviously sensing we want to be alone. Kol wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my forehead "I'm so happy right now. I didn't think I could ever be this happy" he says "you will only ever feel happy here Kol. This is where you belong with me and our children" I reply making him smile "may I have a word with our little angels?" he asks "why of course they are your children and I bet they'd just love to hear their daddy's voice" I respond he gives me a soft kiss on the lips in response before scooping me up in his arm and walking over to the bed. He places me down on the edge of the bed before getting on his knees before me. I smile and run a hand through his hair as he kisses my stomach "hey there you might not know who I am right now but I'm your daddy and I love you both so much. I'm going to be honest I didn't think I'd be this happy about becoming a father because I worry that I'm not going to be a good father but when your beautiful mommy told me she was carrying you two. I was in utter bliss, I knew right away that I'm going to be the best father to you two. I'm going to love and protect you with everything I have and nothing is ever going to take you two or your mommy away from me. You all make me so happy" he says making me tear up at his words. "Kol that was beautiful" I say he looks up and smiles "I only speak the truth my love" he replies as he gets up and sits beside me. "I can't wait for them to be born" I say "me neither" he replies placing a hand on my stomach, gently rubbing it with his thumb making me smile and so we just sit there in a comfortable silence in each others arms as we think about what's to come in the next coming months for us.
