I shook my head after remembering everything that's happened in the past. Bumangon na ko ng kama ko when suddenly nakaramdam ako ng gutom. I went to my Dad's library to check if he's awake para sabay na kaming kumain ng breakfast.

"Dad? are you in there?" I said while knocking. Inilapit ko ang tenga ko sa pinto checking any sounds in there but I hear nothing so I decided to go in.

"Dad pasok na ko ha". I opened the door only to find out na wala siya dito sa library. I roamed my eyes around the room to check for my Dad's figure pero he's really not around. I was wondering kung asan si Dad. Normally, andito lang siya sa library niya ng ganitong oras lalo na kapag Saturday. I walked towards his table and I caught myself smiling when I saw a picture of Mom katabi ng picture namin together with Lisa. Until now andito parin pala ito. I held the picture frame in my hand. This is the first photo that Lisa and I had with my Dad. We look very happy in this photo. Dad standing between us, habang nakaakbay saming dalawa ni Lisa. Old days, good old days.

I put back the photo in its place when an envelope caught my attention. Binasa ko yung nakaprint sa envelope only to find out that the envelope came from Manoban General Hospital. Out of curiousity kinuha ko yung envelope. The envelope was named after my Dad.

I know he went to Manoban's for monthly physical examination but why do I feel like this, nervous, uneasy. I opened the envelop and read what's in it.

Diagnosed with Aortic Aneurysm, 6 cm wide.

What the hell is Aortic Aneurysm?

I have no idea what is it, as in zero. I also don't understand all the medical terms written on it.

I went to my room, opened my laptop and started browsing the internet.

The aorta is the largest artery in the human body, with a diameter of 3 cm at its origin (ascending aorta), 2.5 cm in the descending portion (thoracic aorta), and 1.82 cm in the abdomen (abdominal aorta).

An Aortic Aneurysm doesn’t usually pose a serious threat to health, but there’s a risk that a larger aneurysm could burst (rupture).

A ruptured aneurysm can cause massive internal bleeding, which is usually fatal. Around 8 out of 10 people with a rupture either die before they reach hospital or don’t survive surgery.

What the hell?

NO! It can't be? How? Hindi ako makapaniwala sa nababasa ko. Dad has that kind of heart condition? How come hindi ko napapansin? How come he didn't tell me about it? No, impossible. Dad is perfectly fine. He said he just go to the hospital for physical check up.

Hindi ko maintindihan yung nararamdaman ko ngayon. Sobrang natatakot ako given the fact that I don't understand everything that is written on this damn piece of paper.

Hindi ko na napansin ang pagpatak ng mga luha sa mga mata ko. I was crying. Shit! Why am I crying? I wasn't sure yet what is it.

I have to confirm this. I have to know what and how serious his condition is.

What should I do? Should I go to the hospital to know more about this? Kung gaano ba kalala tong sakit ni Dad? Shit! Bakit ba hindi gumagana ang utak ko ngayon?

I run my fingers through my hair as I am now walking back and forth here inside my room thinking what's the best thing to do.

Kung nandito lang sana si Lisa.. naisip ko.
