After 3 years

"Love? You done? Everybody's waiting for us na" pagtawag ko sa kanya mula sa sala.

"Yes love pababa na kami" she shouted back from the room.

"Okay love! paandarin ko lang yung kotse"

"Okay love!"

I waited for them na matapos habang pinapainit ko muna yung sasakyan namin. Today is December 31st and the whole gang decided to celebrate New Year sa mansion nila Jennie. I was leaning on the door of my car when my phone rang. I took it from my pocket and see Chaeng's name on it.

"Hey Chipminunk!" panimulang pagbati ko sa kanya.

It's been 6 months since huli kaming nagkita coz Chaeng was the chosen one to visit Berkeley Medical Hospital in States for some medical seminars and  training for nurses and Doctors. Ako sana yun but I volunteered her instead kasi hindi ko kayang mapahiwalay sa pamilya ko. Although it's just for six months pero para sakin it's already too long. Matagal na kaming nagkalayo ni Jennie nung hindi pa kami kasal kaya as much as possible sana iniiwasan ko talaga na mapalayo na naman sa kaniya ng matagal na panahon. Trainings and seminars that can last to a week can do, pero six months? Well the answer is obviously a big NO.

"Asan na kayo? Everybody's here kayo na lang ang kulang!" she exclaimed.

"I know Chaeng, Seulgi texted me already. Papunta na rin kami dyan. Medyo natagalan lang kami coz Me and Jen waited for Sam to wake up. You know her kapag naiistorbo sa pagtulog" I chuckle habang ikinukwento ko yung rason ng pagiging late namin for today.

"I know right. Kanino pa ba magmamana?" she said.

"And what are you implying to say? That I am grumpy everytime I wake up?" I asked.

She let out a small laugh before she speaks. "Why? Aren't you?"

"Okay! you win! Oo na sakin na siya nagmana" and with that my chipmunk bestfriend laugh out loud.

I heave a sigh kasi totoo naman yung sinabi niya. Like my daughter Sam, ayoko ko rin ng naiistorbo yung tulog ko. Kaya siguro nga sakin talaga siya nagmana.

Yes, you heard it right. I have a daughter now, a family to be exact. Thanks to the help of modern technology and my dream of having a family, a child with the love of my life came true. Kelan nangyari? It happened after Irene and Seulgi got a successful process and Irene conceived Seulgi's child. I got inspired, so I talked to Jennie and asked her if she wants to carry my child as well at hindi naman ako nagdalawang salita ng agad siyang pumayag sa gusto ko. A year after our marriage ay ipinanganak ang prinsesa namin and we called her Sam, short for Samantha Jane Kim Manoban. She was a very cute and pretty little princess and I cannot forget the first time I saw her after Jennie gave birth to her in a normal delivery. She has this cute little squishy cheeks like my mandu love, she got her nose but she got my lips and eyes, like what Jennie said. Nung makita ko siya after nine months of waiting, hindi ko maipaliwanag yung nararamdaman ko. Halo halong emosyon. The feeling was surreal lalo na nung nahagkan ko na siya sa mga bisig ko. Ganun pala yung feeling na maging isang magulang. Yung feeling na gagawin mo yung lahat mapasaya mo lang siya, yung tipong ayaw mo siyang papadapuan man lang sa lamok, yung feeling na handa mo nang ibigay yung buhay mo wag lang siyang masasaktan. Yes, I am willing to give up everything for them, for my princess, for my wife. They are my life now and I will never ever regret putting them first in my life coz they are my happiness.
