I heave a deep sigh bago ko sumagot kay Seungho.

"Good news first" sabi ko staring straight into his eyes.

He smiled and he leaned forward at ipinatong niya ang dalawang siko niya sa table.

"I recommended you to be the Southeast Asia's Senior Consultant since Mr. Maddock resigned and the board agreed with me" he smiled.

My mouth went agape nung marinig ko yung ibinalita niya. So, he called me here for promotion. Hindi ako makapaniwala na ganito kalaki yung tiwala sakin ni Seungho.

"Are you serious?" I asked.

"I am! They've seen your potential through all the successful projects you handled. Don't doubt yourself Jen"

He said tapping my shoulder as he is now standing behind me. This is one hell of a news! Sobrang biglaan naman kasi but I am happy, yes I am dedinitely happy. It's not that I doubt myself, sobrang overwhelmed lang talaga ko. But, my brows furrowed nung maalala kong may bad news den pala siyang sasabihin sakin.

"But wait, what about the bad news?" I asked fidgeting my fingers that is resting on my lap.

Seungho stared at me first bago siya nagsalita.

"You need to leave New York. You need to leave us"

My brows furrowed while waiting for the words he'll going to say.

"Coz you have to choose a country in Southeast Asia where there's Chanel office and you will be staying there as long as you have the position"

And once again my heart skip a beat. Hindi ko alam kung bad news ba talaga to or it's a blessing. Napangiti na lang ako ng di ko namamalayan. At nung mapatingin naman ako kay Seungho, nakangiti na rin siya sakin. Alam kong sinadya niyang irecommend ako sa posisyon na to so I can finally go home and be with the people I love.

"You can finally be with her now, Jen" nakangiting sabi niya sakin.

Lumapad naman ang ngiti ko sa narinig ko. Hindi pa rin talaga ko makapaniwala. And because of too much happiness I hug Seungho. I felt that he was caught off guard sa ginawa ko but I shrugged it off and just smile.

"Thank you" tanging nasambit ko habang yakap yakap ko siya. This man played a huge part in my successful career. He's been such a good mentor, boss, and a friend and it is just fair to give him a hug. That's the least I can do.

"You deserved it" nakangiting sagot niya naman ng maghiwalay kami mula sa pagkakayakap.

"Mamaya pala magpapatawag ako ng meeting para iannounce sa lahat yung promotion mo and para na rin iannounce that your position is now open for those who are willing to apply"

"Talagang pinapaalis niyo na ko dito ah" pabirong sabi ko naman na nagpatawa kay Seungho.

"Hindi naman sa ganun, Jen. Sadyang biglaan lang den ang pagreresign ni Mr. Maddock at hindi pwedeng mabakante ang position niya dun. At syempre hindi rin naman pwedeng mabakante ang posisyon mo dito. We have to look for someone na papalit sa iiwanan mong position, habang may panahon pa para itrain mo yung papalit sayo" paliwanag niya.

"So effective immediately ang transition nato?" tanong ko.

He nods his head first before he speaks. "Yes. Transition niyo na in two weeks. I just hope makahanap agad tayo ng madaling turuan at magaling na pwedeng pumalit sayo. Do you have any recommendation?"
