(Y/s/n) had woken up throwing up last night so I kept him home from school today. He was laying on the couch watching SpongeBob with the millions of blankets I put on top of him. I came over to him and gently put my hand on his forehead. "You're burning up," I whispered and he nodded looking miserable. "Louis," I called and he replied with a, "what?" "I need to check (y/s/n)'s temperature," I answered and he came out with the thermometer. It was 101.2. "I'll get you medicine," i said and Louis sat on the couch making sure he was comfortable. I decided to heat up some chicken noodle soup for him to have as well. He had to eat something cause he wasn't eating earlier, afraid he'd throw up again. I came back with his soup and medicine and put it on the coffee table. He sat up and took the medicine while I passed him the soup. He put it on his lap and I said, "careful. Its hot," he nodded and began eating it while Louis and I exchanged a sad look.
