I was sound asleep when I felt someone tapping my arm. I opened my eyes to see my little girl with tears falling down her face as she held her stuffed bear. I sat up as she whispered, "mommy," in a scared tone. "(Y/d/n) what's wrong?" I asked as she got on the bed and hugged me. "The thunder....i-it's scar-" there was a loud boom from the thunder and she screamed and started bawling. Louis sat up quickly, as (y/d/n) went into his arms. He hugged her protectively, smoothing out her beautiful long hair. "Shhh, (y/d/n) it's okay. Mommy and Daddy will protect you. Cmon. You can sleep with us for the night," he say soothingly. She nodded wiping her eyes, jumping a little when she heard the thunder again. She hugged her bear tight and laid down in between me and Louis. We both laid there quiet until she fell asleep. I looked at Louis as he kissed (y/d/n)'s forehead. He saw me and smiled before we both went back to bed.
