Laylah Davis was sure she was going to pass out as she strode up the stairs of Federal Bureau of Investigation building, her eyes set on the familiar door she'd passed through once before. Her biker boots tapped lightly on the lino flooring as she passed through security, passing through the metal detectors with ease. Her shoulder bag tapped against her leg, her tag bouncing against her woollen jacket silently. She was ready, or so she was trying to convince herself.

'You can do this,' She whispered to herself as she stood in the elevator; 'You've done it before, you can do it again.'

A ding sounded around her before the heavy doors opened in front of her, revealing the Behavioural Analysis Unit doors. People were constantly moving, not one noticing her as she stepped out onto the floor. She took it all in, the very familiar walls and photos bringing a smile to her face. She pulled open the glass doors, the busy office before her never stopping as a small group sat watching her with curious gazes. She sent them a shy smile, lowering her head as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

'Wait, Laylah?' Derek stepped out from the group; 'Laylah Davis?'

She looked up again, 'Derek Morgan.'

He laughed as he approached her, wrapping his arms around her shoulders; holding her close. Over the years since the case they'd worked together, Derek and Laylah had had regular contact with one another. The man always coming to see her when he was near by working a case, just as she always made time for her new friend. The man laid an arm over her shoulders as he lead her toward the group, JJ beaming at her as she stepped forward to hug her.

'It's good to see you,' The blonde laughed softly.

'It's good to see you, too. Derek told me about the bub, congratulations,' She smiled.

'Oh, thankyou. Yeh, he's doing really good.'

'His name?'

'Micheal.'

'Oh, JJ. He's sounds gorgeous.'

'Guys,' Derek turned their attention to his curious friends; 'This is Laylah Davis, she helped us with a case a few years back, with Angel Suarez.'

'I hardly helped.'

'Ignore her. Lay, this is Tara Lewis, David Rossi, and Penelope Garcia.'

'It's nice to finally meet you all. Especially Penelope, I've heard a lot about. Derek doesn't shut up about you. And Spencer, who I'm going to assume isn't here.'

'No, Spence is seeing his mother,' JJ smiled.

'Next time.'

'I've heard your name before, so correct if I'm wrong, but you've worked here before, haven't you?' David Rossi asked.
