"There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins"
 Ecclesiastes 7:20

Laylah walked into work with bags under her eyes, a cup of coffee in hand that had hardly been touched. Her hair was in a mess on the nape of her neck, eyes low on the floor as she made her way to her desk. She placed her coffee down, missing the eyes on her as she slowly sat in her seat. She'd been running late, missing both of her alarms before Penelope finally rang her.

'Laylah,' A soft hand placed itself on her back.

She looked up at Emily's concerned face, then to Rossi's as he stood behind her.

'Why don't we have a chat?' She suggested.

'Is everything ok?' The girl asked.

'No, mia ragazza,' Rossi shook his head.

She looked to the others, scanning their faces before she looked back to the pair before her.

'Tell me what's going on,' She demanded.

Emily opened her mouth to speak before she paused, 'Spencer, uh... Reid's in jail... In Mexico.'

'Mexico? What the hell is he doing in Mexico? Why aren't we heading down right now?'

'The call came in to Cruz from their lead investigator. He's being held for drug possession, with intent to distribute.'

'What type of drugs?'

'Cocaine and heroin.'

'Oh, my God,' Laylah's eyes flicked about, not looking at anything for too long as her eyes grew glassy; 'This can't be happening. He-He-He wouldn't. He wouldn't... Why- Why- Why would he? Oh, my God.'

'Hey,' Rossi crouched down in front of her; 'Look at me. We're going to do everything we can to get him home, ok? But we need you here with us, to help us and Spencer.'

'Rossi, I-I-I...'

He took her hand, rubbing his thumb back and forth with a sad smile.

'This is too much,' She whispered.

And it was. It'd taken her a week to finally pry herself off the couch and get back to work after sitting catatonic, not really sure when she ate, or went to the bathroom, or drank. Since then, she'd been on the edge of falling again, but tried to keep her mind busy during the day, just to fall again and stay that way all night.

'I know,' Rossi nodded; 'But, we're all here for you. And we need your help, Laylah.'

'I'm coming to Mexico,' She looked up at Emily.
