[Chapter 02: The Duel]

*Ulysses's Point of View

Kusot-mata naman akong bumangon sa kama at sabay na napahikab habang naglalakad patungo sa banyo ng kwarto ko. I gradually stopped and look at the clock at the same time before unknowingly do some stretching.

I clenched my jaw when I suddenly felt how sore my body is. Man, trainings.

"ULYSSES!"

Few minutes later, I immediately went out from the bathroom wearing my casual clothes the moment I heard someone entered my room.

"What?"Bungad ko kaagad kay Azraell na walang pasintabing ngayon ay prenteng nakahiga na sa kama ko.

I frankly raised an eyebrow at him.

Nang makita niya naman ako ay agad siyang bumangon at umupo sa kama ko na parang bata. I initiately brushed my hair with my bath towel while waiting for him to speak up.

"Duel time."Agad naman akong napatigil sa pagpapatuyo ng buhok ko nang marinig 'yon.

I unknowingly widened my eyes and eventually grunted the moment I just realized what he meant. Pero mabilisan naman akong napatingin sa kaniya pagkatapos mag-sink in sa utak ko ang gusto niya talagang sabihin.

There, he just eventually showed me his infamous grin the moment our eyes met as if we're having a conversation with our eyes.

Bigla ko naman ginulo ang buhok ko na ikinatawa niya naman ng mahina.

"You've got to be kidding me. What the hell is he thinking? At this hour?"I irritatedly blurted out as I pointed out the clock.

Sinundan niya naman kung saan nakaturo ang daliri ko at sabay na ngumiti sa akin. He just eventually gave me a shrug the moment he saw me pointing out what time it is and gaze back his attention towards me.

Napabuntong-hininga nalang ako bago tumango bilang sagot sa kaniya, dahil wala naman akong choice sa mangyayari.

"I'll be right there. Now, get out of the room."I bluntly said to him and kick him out while the latter just shook his head off upon hearing what I told him.

Napadako naman agad ang tingin ko doon sa full-length mirror katabi ng pinto at napatulala sa sarili kong bagong ligo na talagang kakalabas lang kanina ng banyo. I just walked pass by it and make myself a way towards my walk-in closet to get my training suit and get changed.

Agh, that guy is seriously about to get in my nerve.

"Well, someone looks so fresh."Treck suddenly approached me the moment I entered myself inside the training hall. Inismiran ko naman agad siya at agad na rin na dumiretso patungo sa pantry kung saan nakita kong nakatambay sina Levi at Vann.

They immediately waved at me with a smile on their faces when they saw me coming over, which eventually just made me to nod back at them as a return.

I'm really not in the mood to train. Agad naman akong kumuha ng soda at tumabi sa kanila.

"Not for an early training, huh?"

Prente naman akong napatingin kay Hue nang lumapit siya sa akin na may hawak-hawak na namang libro at parang hindi nauubusan ng babasahin. Napailing nalang ako at sabay na tumawa ng mahina, bago tumingin sa gitna kung saan nandoon sina Rye at Axe na naglalaban para sa training.
