[Chapter 10: Surprise]

Prente akong nakapamulsang naglalakad sa hallway ng university nang magpasya na akong umalis sa rooftop. I roamed my eyes around and saw how quiet L.U has been for a long time.

It's been already half of a year and we've been quite missing a lot from the university ever since we knew about the Alum exactly 6 months ago.

Mas lalo lang kaming nawalan ng focus sa L.U lalo na nung nagsimula kaming mag-training.

Well, it's all different now. Napailing nalang ako at inalis lahat 'yon sa utak ko dahil sumasakit ang ulo ko. I suddenly reached out for my hand and immediately look at the time.

It's almost past noon.

I was about to continue making my pace the moment I saw the time, but I suddenly felt alert that made me furrowed my forehead and roamed my eyes around to see if there's something wrong. Pumikit naman ako at pinakiramdaman yung paligid hanggang sa mabilisan ulit akong napamulat kasabay nang pagtalon ko palayo.

There I eventually saw a dagger on the ground that seemed to be came from my right side of direction. How?

Bigla naman akong napangisi nang makalapit ako sa dagger at may nakitang crest mula dito.

I gradually picked it up and played it along with my hands. I scoffed.

"Try practicing how to aim."I bluntly said while looking at the dagger, before turning around to see who are those at fault.

Nandilim naman ang paningin ko nang magtama ang mga mata namin.

"Then bullseye."

Walang pasintabi kong binato yung dagger pabalik sa kanila at hindi ko naman naiwasan na mapangisi nang saktong tumarak 'yon sa puso ng isa sa kasama nila.

They altogether get their gazes back at me and eventually couldn't help but to attack me.

I almost mocked when I saw how they reacted and just get ready myself for some action.

"Sorry."Ngumisi naman ako sa isang lalaki na dapat ay aambahan ako ng isang sipa pero agad kong nahuli ang paa niya na naging dahilan para balibagin ko siya palayo.

I almost grunted the moment someone hit me in the back.

I immediately clenched my jaw after what happened and didn't have the second thought to do a back flip and kick the one who did it.

"Tsk."I hissed and leave that bastard on the floor when I saw him fell unconscious.

Kumuyom naman ang kamao ko nang halos sabay-sabay silang umatake sa akin, na naging dahilan naman para sandaling tignan ko yung buong paligid kung nasaan kami.

It's the floor upstairs next to where Luxe-Z is located. Halos pansin ko rin na may ilang dugo na ang kumakalat sa sahig. I can't help but tilted my head in annoyance and let them chase me for a while until we reached outside.

Baka mamatay na talaga ako kapag nalaman nila Tita Avani na may dungis ng dugo yung university mula sa mga lalaking 'to.

"Get him!"Halos mapaismid ako dahil sa narinig ko. As expected.

I eventually found myself running down all the way along the dim and quiet hallways of all the floors of the university until I finally reached the second floor. Nang bigyan ko naman sila ng isang tingin sa likod, halos mapangisi naman ako. I quickly return back my gaze in front and get ready to do something crazy.

I fastened my pace and diverted my direction towards where the balcony of the second floor, then eventually take a swift leaped over it until I found myself already at the ground floor.

"Too slow."I whispered under beneath my breath before mocking a wave at them as a good bye.

Pero halos mawala naman ang ngisi sa mukha ko nang sinubukan nilang gawin yung ginawa ko.

I just simply shook my head and reached out for my combat knives behind my back, before doing a quick turn to throw all of it towards them. I stood where I am and smirk as I watched them fell one by one the moment they got hit with my attack.

Muli naman akong naalerto nang may paparating sa akin mula sa likod.

I was about to attack them all when out of nowhere, their bodies fell on the ground with a hit on their shoulders.

"They should've given us some notice."

Napaismid naman ako nang marinig ko ang boses na 'yon, pero muling ngumisi nang dumako ang atensyon ko sa mga lalaking mukhang wala nang pag-asang mabuhay pa.

"It's a surprise. Too bad, I spoiled everything."I mocked and jokingly shrugged while playing my combat knife that I was supposed to use.

"But why all of a sudden, anyway?"

Napatigil naman ako sa paglalaro nang bigla kong tanungin 'yon sa kaniya na naging dahilan para bigyan niya ako ng atensyon.

"You already encountered them. You should have known their strategies by then."He said that made me rolled my eyes heavenwards after hearing the last part.

Hindi ko nalang pinansin yung huli niyang sinabi at tinanguhan siya. He shook his head in an unbelievably manner then look at me in the eye.

"It's their signature move, Zace. They like to attacked us without a notice."He eventually corrected his sarcastic phrase awhile ago, before taking a look back at those unconscious bodies.

"Nice aim, though."He suddenly smirk the moment I saw how he praised me with my piece of work. I shrugged.

"Now what?"

"Let's go back. The Alum already know what happened, for sure. They should take care of them, eventually."I immediately nodded as a response after hearing what he said.

We both took a quick glimpse towards them before making our way back.

It's nice to see you again, Onyx. But sorry not sorry, I'm tired of your surprises.
