Chapter[46]

EMMA'S P.O.V :

The boys were going back to the UK for a couple of days then they were directly flying to New York and waiting for us there. 

Sam was being awfully quiet for the past few hours so I pulled him to the side and we laid down on the bed in our trailer, his head on my chest as I was stroking his hair.

He then sat up, sighed loudly, and spoke up while looking at the wall :

" You know it's my last year of university right?" I looked at him quizzically :

"Yeah it's awesome!" he slightly huffed and went on :

"Well, I just got a call which states that graduation is in June so I have to go back to London to finish the last semester. I can't stay any longer so I won't be able to be here for most of the press tour and maybe all of it until I am done...I know you would have wanted me here and I wanted to be here as well but I- I'm sorry-"

Before he could finish I got up from my place, sat upright by his side, softly stroking his face with my thumb in circular motions, looking at his glassy eyes then told him :

"It's fine don't worry... it's way better. This way, when you're done with college, you'll be free and you'll finally be able to choose wherever and whatever you want as a job."

"Well I thought that after I graduate I could maybe open my own company and, you know, have my own business..."

"That's awesome, babe... and don't worry I have Tom, Maya, Haz, and Harry... I will terribly miss you but we can text and FaceTime as much as you want. And at least you have your parents and Paddy. I just have 3 peasants and a sarcastic queen who will be making out with her boyfriend constantly." He laughed and I went on :

"Plus, you'll have a break in the middle of the semester so we'll maybe be able to see each other... I hope that's around when we are in Paris though..." He smirked as he kissed me gently. After that, we saw that Maya and I's flight was 30 minutes after the boys', so we went and packed. 

At the big black gate of the set, we said goodbye to everyone, the director last as we hugged him and then got going. We went to Maya and I's apartment to take and put things there and went straight to the airport. 

When we arrived at our destination we entered, got our boarding passes, took care of our bags, bought some sandwiches, and just sat waiting for our planes to start boarding. The silence was unbearable until Sam spoke up :

" Guys I...umm.. got a call today..." Harry then said :

" Yeah.. and what was is it about?" He sighed, put his head in his hands, and answered his twin brother back :

"They basically told me that I had to resume the last semester since graduation is in 4 months so I won't be here for the press tour. I might come by when we have a break, though."

Tom, Haz, and Harry weren't expecting this at all, and Maya was really shocked since she thought we'll all be together. They all looked at me but I just stared out of the glass, at the different planes taking off and landing. 

Suddenly we heard out of the airport's speakers that the plane to London had begun boarding, the moment I was dreading immensely finally came. I stiffened up but had no other choice so we all got up and Maya started off by hugging the three Hollands then kissed Haz but no tears escaped her eyes since we will eventually see them in a week in NYC.

 After that, I went and hugged Harry, Haz and Tom and last but for sure not least: Sam 

My eyesight started getting blurry because of all the tears I was trying to hold back. The others went away for a bit to give us some space.

He looked at me and then he said :

" Angel, please don't cry..." He then engulfed me in a big hug and after trying not to cry I just let out the tears that fell down my face and sobbed loudly but trying to cover the sounds coming out of my mouth. After that, I looked up at him and pulled him down to kiss him, the most passionate kiss yet, and he just lifted me up, my legs around his waist. I had my forehead against his, our eyes closed :

" Sammy... do we really have to do this?"

"Darling...." I then cried once again

" Please don't say the word anymore or I won't be able to let go."

" Emmy, you know I can't stay... but when I can, I will be back, okay?"

He replaced me on the ground kissing me again, tears now streaming down his face as I kissed him again. He turned around trying not to look back as the boys were waiting for him at the gate but then, before he could walk away and I wouldn't be able to see him for god knows how many months, I said :

"Sam..." He stopped but didn't turn around and I went on :

"Please don't forget me." He turned around swiftly, coming back to me, kissing me :

"I won't forget you, okay, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me, do you hear me? If you think I will go like someone else then no..." I cried once more as he finished his sentence :

"I swear, I wouldn't want to purposely hurt you, well actually, Maya will chop my balls off so same thing" I chuckled as the tears were streaming down both of our faces :

"I promise that the second they give us the break, whether it's for a day or not, I will be booking the next flight to wherever you are and we'll make up for whatever time we lost okay? And please don't cry..."

"I won't forget u either Sammy. Even though I refuse your goodbye, I am obliged to respect whatever you do. but just so you know you are the first thing in so long that has felt right."

We just kissed one last time as he walked away to the gate since it was the last call to board the plane. The three other boys just sympathetically smiled at me and left.
