"So there we were. No communications, low on energon, surrounded by cons." Bulkhead was telling a war story to the kids. "So, what does Wheeljack do?" Bulkhead laughed. "Tell them, Jackie."

Miko looked between them on the edge of her seat with stars in her eyes.

"Well, What I do best." The mech gave a soft laugh

Miko grinned and bounced.

Bulkhead laughed some more. "He chucks his only grenade smack into the primary heat exchanger!"

"Yeah, seemed like a good idea at the time." Wheeljack said not sounding like he was very invested in the story.

Julie had one of her katana out and she was sitting on the floor sharpening it with a grindstone she had in her hand. She smiled at the story

"The joint went supernova!" Bulkhead made a fast and wide gesture with his arms to emphasize it.

"Awesome!" Miko was in awe.

"Yeah, I'm still picking shrapnel out of my backside." Bulkhead rubbed his rear.

"I'm not surprised. given the size of your backside." Arcee quipped.

Bee nodded and agreed with her then gave a beeping laugh.

"There it is, Jackie's signature- One grenade, one shot." Bulkhead pointed to Wheeljack's grenade.

"Hey, you all right?" Bulk waved a hand in front of Wheeljack's face

"What?"

"You don't seem like yourself."

Julie eyed the ivory wrecker out of the side of her eye. something was off. The look in Wheeljack's eyes suggested he didn't even know the stories bulk was telling. Like it was all new to him. It might have been her imagination though. He could have just been tired. She'd still keep an eye on him nonetheless.

"Well, what do you mean?" Wheeljack asked

"I don't know. You seem quiet." Bulkhead shrugged.

"Aw, I've been stuck in a can too long. I should go topside before I get stir-crazy." He deflected.

"I have patrol in the morning. You can come with." Bulkhead suggested

"Let's go now." Wheeljack pushed

"And break up the party? Come on! The gang's loving you! You got to tell them about the battle of Darkmount Pass!" Bulkhead said

"You tell them. You're better at it." Wheeljack waved him off.

He stole a glance at Miko and Julie "How about if Miko and Julie here show me the rest of your base?"

"Well, yeah, sure, Jackie. Hey, go ahead." Bulkhead seemed thrown off.

"Tour starts now." Miko hopped off her seat and started walking.

Julie stood up and put the grindstone down where Miko had been. She made sure no one was around before flicking the blade casually and sheathing it on her back.

"Do you play any instruments? Can you fly? Have you thrashed more Decepticons than Bulkhead?" Miko started her questions.

Julie chuckled and followed behind the young energetic girl walking beside Wheeljack.

-near the end of the tour-

"So, that's pretty much it." Miko said. "Energon stockpile, power generator, armory- Everything you need to blow the joint sky high."

"Where's this bunker located exactly?" Wheeljack asked.

"If I told you, I'd have to rip out your spark chamber." Miko joked around but she looked serious.
